Description of 1959 Ford Fairlane 500

OWNERS Statement
I am Selling My Beautiful Restored 59 Ford Fairlane . I bought this Car and decided to restore it because the Ford Fairlane Won the most Beautiful car Award in 1959 and this one was already in outstanding condition, it had the most desirable color combination. Original Torch Red and Colonial White, with near perfect Original matching Red and White Interior. You do not see many of these Fairlanes. I bought this car from an Elderly couple in Arizona they had sadly got to old to drive and had bought the car Brand New. The original Invoice is still in the window.
Engine Line Auto Shop in Palmdale Calif. did a complete Overhaul on the Original Motor, New Pistons, Bearings, Crank, Bore, Starter, Carb. Oil Pump, Water Pump, Fuel Pump and Blue Paint, everything is New. The Motor was the 352 cu.in. 300 hp Big Block Ford Interceptor the largest motor Ford had Available in 59.
We then Overhauled the Original 3 speed Overdrive Ford-O Matic Transmission. Only 1500 miles on the new motor and Transmission. We then put on a Mallory Electronic Ignition with electronic Choke so the car would start and perform like todays cars. We then decided because of the weight of the car and the speeds of today's Freeways we would install Power Disk Brakes in the front and rebuild drum brakes in the rear. That was $1100 just for the parts.
We then rebuilt the Suspension New Upper and Lower Tie Rod Ends, New Bushings, New Ball Joints, Monroe Gas Shocks all the way around.
We then replaced the Dual Exhaust system Front to Back. Installing dual Glasspack Mufflers to give it the correct sound of the Era.
The Body, Arizona car No Rust, Chrome, Glass, was in almost perfect condition the Problem was the Paint, it was cracked and faded with age. We decided to Media Blast Car and take it down to bare metal. We then Resprayed the car using The Original paint codes Torch Red and Colonial White. Paint and body work came to $8,000.
We then started on the interior of the car which was the nicest part of the car the Original seats were covered since new, in clear plastic, we Recovered them in New Clear Plastic.
The Original Headliner was in Perfect condition. The Original Beautiful Door Panels were in near Perfect condition. We replaced the Red Carpet using the Original Red Color Material. We then. Restored the Original Deep Dish Steering Wheel.
We then Installed a New Kenwood Sound System in the Glove Box as not to disturb the look of the Original Dash Board.
There was over $ 25K spent on the Restoration Plus Countless Hours of Labor We have all receipts. We also have a Photo Album of the work in Progress. The Original Owners Kept The Owners Manual and the Beautiful Showroom Brochures of the Car They come with the car.
A lot of time and Work Went into this Project. And Thank You for your Interest.
The Car is Located in Chatsworth, California. The Reserve Price is set @ $16,000, a bargain on wheels. The buy It Now Price is $24,500 with Zero disappointments with this one.
