Description of 1958 Ford Fairlane Fairlane base

You are looking at a complete running car that has been in storage for the past 10 years. We got it from the widow of the former owner and she does not have much information on it. It appears to be a nice quality older restoration. The car was stored under a carport and the back edge got exposed so there are a few rust spots on the rear fins. We buffed out the paint and it looks pretty nice, but shows the appropriate wear for how the car was stored and the age of the paint. The underside of the car is solid with good floor pans. The paint is flaking off on the frame rails and oil pan. You can tell this car was restored to a nice standard but being stored under a carport for 10 years has led to some minor cosmetic issues. It drives very nicely and would make a great cruiser as is. Taking it to the next level would require some minor paint work, some rechroming and some general cosmetic improvements.
This car has all the desirable options- Power Steering, Power Brakes, A/C (appears factory), 352 Interceptor V8, and the rare power window option. The car has the 3 speed cruise o matic transmission. The car runs well and most everything works. The power retractable hardtop works very well. T The VIN is H8KW153559 and a decode of the vin plate shows this car was originally white. Its now black with gold side trim panels.
Overall, this car is a solid driver that is in good condition but needs a bit of freshening up to be in tip top shape. Its got all the good options though and we would love to see it go to a good home.We encourage potential buyers to come see it in person or send an inspector to go through the car to provide a realistic rundown.
This is a beautiful, significant, and pretty rare old car that could use a new home.
