Description of 1988 Ford Mustang LX

Purchased Spring 2007. this car is a custom build. Way too much to list but I'll try. A survivor quality body. Paintwork and trim absolute show quality. In the search for perfection. I even replaced some trim. lighting. and rear quarter glass with source NOS parts. Cervini 3 inch Cowl hood used for Supercharger clearance. Chassis. cage. and all custom fabrication by Ed Quay Race cars. Cage and all fabricated chassis parts hand prepped and painted. Mini tubs are steel and have to be seen to be believed. Coil over shocks. struts. and racing custom front disc breaks. Manual front Rack n Pinion and a tubular K member. Rear mounted battery and 12 gallon fuel cell. Fuel system. I used Aeroquip steel replaceable fittings. Teflon braided hose. This is a return style -8 feed. 6 return system. Interior. I custom fit a new carpet and bound the edges where it was cut for the tubes and where the carpet would normally be under the rear seat. Racing buckets. 5 point Drivers harness. All remaining interior panels are new in condition. Engine. I used a 9. 500 Deck Ford Racing Aluminum block. Scat lightweight forged crankshaft. Oliver Rods and Custom JE Pistons. Link style hydraulic roller Camshaft. TFS High Ports. CNC Ported. Victor Jr. EFI intake. Lunati Roller rockers. Engine Displacement 402 inch 8. 9 to 1 Compression Ratio. Power adder. Vortec YSI R/H Renegade Kit. Transmission. JW powerglide. Ultra case and ultra bell. Manual valve body with brake. High stall converter. Racing B&M floor shifter. Rear Differential. 8. 8 Inch. 31 Spline racing axles and Spool. Aluminim rear cover / girdle. Exhaust. I towed the Mustang down to Kooks Headers and their shop custom bult the 2 1/4 Primary tube 3 1/2 Exhaust system. All tubes have are O2 sensor ready. Kooks X pipe section. This is a full Stainless Steel custom system. Engine Management. MoTeC M84 Wide Band and Data log enabled. I started the Tune. I will be driving the car back to the shop next week for final data and numbers. I Estimate with low boost it should be around 750 RWHP. Everything is new and this car has never been raced.
