Description of 1966 Ford Mustang Base

1966 Ford Mustang Coupe - No rust California car

Offered by FastbackAuto

Project name: Blue Monday.

1966 coupe painted Blue with Black interior. Solid running 6-cyl w/automatic. Imported from CA and repaired to become a nice driver, or take it to the next level yourself as a solid base to turn into a hotrod!

New parts include... (get ready, now...)

A new steel hood, hood hinges and springs, chrome letters and hood trim pieces, grille, front bumper, brakes at all 4 corners, brake booster and master cylinder, brake lines where needed, front shocks, radiator, water pump, battery, battery cables, ignition coil, spark plugs, plug wires, some belts, driver door glass, glove box lid with new pony emblem, instrument bezel and lenses, tasteful aftermarket stereo, speakers, door sill plates, interior door panels, gas cap, gas filler pipe with all rubber pieces replaced, floor mats and finally, a new starter.

Mechanical: Many broken bolts have been drilled out and re-tapped before new bolts installed. Radiator and block have been cleansed and flushed several times. Battery charges, wipers wipe, headlights work and are bright. Non-functional 80's era car alarm removed in the name of good taste :-)

Cosmetics: custom air filter cover gives a nice unique look under the hood. Engine bay has been painted, exterior Paint touched up and polished by professional painter & body man with 20+ years experience. Paint is not perfect but it is a great 5-footer. Wide stance wheels and tires give an aggressive look. Does not leak in the rain or the car wash!

Clear IL title in my name; ready to be signed over.

This car will need nothing to drive as she sits, but in the interest of professionalism, if I was keeping the car I would do the following:

  • New tires would be a good idea in the not too distant future since CA tires have accelerated wear and tend to dry out, but they ARE safe, and there IS drive-able tread left.
  • Hood was installed correctly and secures safely in place, but final alignment would improve gap uniformity.
  • Seats show wear but are usable as is.
  • Dash pad needs to be replaced (CA car remember?)
  • Turn signals blink together sometimes... haven't tracked that one down yet.

Everything else works on the car!

Selling at discounted price due to family illness so please take a good hard look and bid!

I can arrange shipping anywhere in the US with my regular shipping company; please message me your destination address a minimum of 24 hours prior to purchasing for an estimate, however more notice is appreciated. Shipping fees not included in sale price.

Boiler Plate:

Vehicle is over 50 years old, and will have very minor imperfections that cannot be fully itemized. It will NOT handle like a modern car! Please understand that you are buying a classic car!

I have made a GOOD FAITH effort to describe the car accurately, however there is no warranty expressed or implied on the car, and the vehicle is sold AS-IS. Inspectors welcome with prior appointment up to 24 hours BEFORE bidding ends; no inspections post-auction and no inspector approval terms to the auction after the fact. You win it, you've bought it!
