You are bidding on an original custom car from the early 70’s,

wich was part of many well known fairs in Canada and Germany.

This unique Hot Rod was created in the early

70’s together with other very extravagant

vehicle creations by Gerry Nimz in Burlington Canada.

Together with Carl Casper, he is one of the most popular showcar-

and moviecar-designer oft he 70’s and 80’s.

„The telephone Rod“ was first introduced to the public at the

„Canadian International Car Show“ during the late 70’s.

It made headlines worldwide with great interest.

In the following years the vehicle appeared several times

at various exhibitions and events in America.

1981 it was shipped along with other extravagant vehicle creations,

with Lufthansa German airlines from Toronto to

Dusseldorf. Here it was presented on the „Jochen Rindt Show“

(today’s Essen Motorshow).

The Rod was part of the newly

introduced „Show Center“, a presentation area for

historic cars, design studies and extravagant vehicles.

Many famous people oft he 80’s like Mark Thatcher

and Emerson Fittipaldi got themselves photographed with vehicles from the show center.

After the show, a private investor bought many of these spectacular vehicles.

So they all disappeared into a very exclusive private collection.

Now, after more than 30years, caused by the dead oft he former buyer, some of these cars are back in the public and are now looking for a new challange.

It is equipped with a hydraulic steering and a hydraulic handbreak. The engine, a GM Bigblock runs and makes a hell of a sound! The Accellerator Pedal is in this case, the dail oft he phone.

You can turn the engine on and go for a drive in a unique car wich will defenitely be the only one of its kind anywere you go.
