THIS F100 HAS THE LOO, PATINA AND AGE THAT PEOPLE SEARCH BARNS AND BACKYARDS ACROSS AMERICA FOR AND MANY SPEND THOUSANDS TO REPLICATE IN THAT SHOP / FARM TRUCK LOOK. BEFORE WE BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IT WAS STILL A ORIGINAL OWNER TRUCK AND WAS PURCHASED NEW AT SCARFF FORD RIGHT HERE IN WA STATE AND THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS TODAY LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF SEATTLE. THIS F100 IS A ORIGINAL PAINT SURVIVOR AND STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL DEALER DECAL CLEAN AND CRISP ON THE TAILGATE AND IT ALSO COMES WITH IT'S ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND ALL BROCHURES. IT HAS BEEN IN WA STATE IT'S WHOLE 44 YEAR LIFE AND LUCKILY WE HAVE MILD WINTERS OFTEN WITH NO SNOW AND NEVER USE SALT ON WINTER ROADS THAT HELP LEAVE BEAUTIFUL AND SOLID RUST FREE CLASSICS LIKE THIS ONE. THE ORIGINAL OWNER CLEARLY LOVED THIS TRUCK ANDTHIS TRUCK TRULY DRIVES AS CLOSE TO WHAT YOU CAN IMAGINE A NEW 73 F100 DROVE LIKE OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE. NICE SOLID OPENING AND CLOSING DOORS FREE OF ANY DOOR SAG THAT GIVE THAT TIGHT POP WHEN THE DOOR HANDLE IS PULLED AND THAT BEAUTIFUL DEEP VAULT LIKE SOLID SOUND THAT EVERY CAR GUYLOVES TO HEAR WHEN CLOSING THE HEAVY DOOR ON A CLASSIC. THE STEERING IS AS TIGHT AND STRAIGHT AS YOU COULD GET AND A VERY SOLID AND SOUND DRIVE IN THE CAB FREE OF ANY RATTLES. THIS CLASSIC BLUE OVAL IS IN AMAZING SOLID AND ORIGINAL CONDITION FROM TOP TO BOTTOM IN 100% RUST FREE CONDITION.
BODY-THE ORIGINALITY AND HONESTY OF THE PAINT AND BODYON THIS TRUCK IS TRULY WHAT INITIALLY DREW ME IN WITH ALMOST ALL THE PAINT BEING 73 ORIGINAL AND STILL HOLDS A NICE SHINE AND SMOOTH FEEL TO THE TOUCH. THE PAINT IS ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT THE TOP YELLOW ON THE PASSENGER BED SIDE THAT HAS BEEN RESPRAYED A LONG TIME AGO OTHER THEN THAT THE REST OF THE YELLOW AND ALL THE WHITE IS ORIGINAL. THIS F100 HAS ALL THE RIGHT LOOK AND AGE MOST OF US ARE LOOKING FOR ON A SURVIVOR TO DRIVE AS IS OR TO CUSTOMIZE INTO THAT DROPPED SHOP TRUCK BUILD. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL EQUALLY AGED PAINT THAT NOW HAS A KILLER GLOSS THAT LACQUER HOLDS AND JUST SITS DIFFERENT AND HAS THAT SIGNATURE LACQUER LOOK OVER THE NEW BASE COAT CLEAR COAT PAINT. VERY SOLID BODY WITH NO CANCER OR RUST OR DENTS ON THE BODY. AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE DOORS SHUT AND OPEN VERY TIGHT AND SMOOTH ALONG WITH THE HOOD THAT POPS RIGHT UP WITH ONE EASY PULL AND THE TAILGATE THAT IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO DENTS, BENDS OR DAMAGE THAT SHUTS AND CLOSES WITH EASE. SHOWING THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN GARAGED IT'S WHOLE LIFE ALL RUBBERS AROUND THE EXTERIOR GLASS DOES NOT HAVE ONE CRACK, BOOTH DOOR WEATHER STRIPPING IS STILL IN NICE SHAPE WITH NO LEAKS, CUTS OR DAMAGE, THE INNER AND OUTER FELTS FOR THE DOOR GLASS HAVE NO CRACKS AND STILL FEEL FUZZY ALL GLASS IS AMAZINGLY ORIGINAL WITH THE CORRECT CARLITE LOGO AND EVEN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD IS ORIGINAL, BUT IT HAS 3 SMALL CHIPS THAT CAN BE REPAIRED. YOU CAN TELL BY ONE GLANCE HOW SOLID AND HONEST THIS TRUCK IS BY THE PICS ON THE TOP OF THE ROCKERS, BOTTOM OF DOORS, FLOORBOARDS, BODY MOUNTS, UNDERSIDE OF ROCKERS, CAB CORNERS, BOTTOM SIDE OF BED, REAR BED CORNERS, INNER WHEEL WELLS AND ALL THE OTHER HIGH RUST AREAS ON THIS GENERATION OF TRUCK. THIS CLASSIC IS ARROW STRAIGHT, BUT CLEARLY SHOWS AGE WITH 44 YEAR OLD PAINT WEAR WITH SMALL STONE CHIPS AND LITTLE SURFACE SCRATCHES, BUT TO ME THAT ADDS THE DESIRE AND VALUE OF THIS TRUCK. ALL TRIM AND CHROME HAS A NICE BRIGHT FINISH, BUT SOME OF THE SOFT ALUMINUM TRIM DOES HAVE SOME DINGS AROUND THE BACK, THE TOP OF THE BED SIDES HAVE LOADED AND USE WEAR WITH SMALL SCRATCHES, SMALL SOFT DINGS AND CHIPS IN THE PAINT AND THE INSIDE OF THE BED HAS SURFACE RUST ON THE RIBS OF THE CARGO FLOOR FROM WHERE THE ORIGINAL PAINT HAS BEEN WORN AWAY. THERE IS NO DENTS ON THE BODY OR PANEL MISS-ALIGNMENT AND THE ONLY METAL WEAR BESIDES SOME DINGS IS ON THE LOWER FRONT PART OF THE PASSENGER EDGE NEAR THE TIRE IS SLIGHTLY ROLLED IN. TO FINISH OFF THIS TRUCK WE HAVE PUT BRAND NEW WHITE LETTER ALL TERRAIN TIRES WRAPPED AROUND A SET OF MORE MODERN FACTORY FORD F150 CHROME WHEELS THAT LOOK JUST RIGHT ON THIS TRUCK. I HAVE MANY CLOSE UP PICS OF THE TRIM AND PAINT IN AND IT CAN ALSO BEEN SEEN IN THE VIDEO ALONG WITH ANY WEARIN THE PAINT, BUT IF MORE ARE NEEDED LET ME KNOW. INTERIOR-INSIDE IT IS LIKE BEING IN A TIME CAPSULE AND IS AS CLOSE TO MINT AS YOU CAN GET. SHOWING THE RESULT OF BEING GARAGED AND LOVED IT DOES NOT HAVE ONE ITEM THAT IS SUN FADED, THE DASH, SEAT AND DOOR PANELS ARE THE SAME COLOR AND SHADE AS THEY WERE NEW. THERE IS NO CRACKS IN THE DASH, DOOR PANELS OR AMAZINGLY EVEN IN THE FACTORY RUBBER FLOOR MAT. THE SEAT IS NCE AND SOFT WITH JUST A TINY WEAR ON THE DRIVER SITTING AREA. THE GAUGES ARE NICE AND CLEAR AND ALL WORK EVEN THE FACTORY STEREO IS INTACT AND PLAYS CLEAR. ALL INTERIOR LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD, THE SIDE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AND BOTH FLY WINDOWS ARE NICE AND TIGHT WITH GOOD LOCKS. THE METAL PART OF DASH STILL HAS NICE FACTORY PAINT, THE CARDBOARD INNER GLOVE BOX IS PERFECT, THE LIGHTER HAS NEVER BEEN USED AND THE INSIDE OF THE ASH TRAY IS LIKE NEW AND LOOKS TO NEVER EVEN HAVE HAULED POCKET CHANGE. THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT LIKE NEW WITH ONE SOLID SOUND AND NOSAGGING. THEORIGINAL HEADLINER AND SUN VISORS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE THAT MOVE FREELY AND STAY UP AMAZINGLY. OVERALL I THINK IT WULD BE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A NICER AND MORE ORIGINAL 44 YEAR OLD INTERIOR!
MECHANICAL- THIS OLD FORD IS VERY TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY ANDIS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNER WITH NO HESITATION, TICKING, SMOKING, LEAKS OR ISSUES. IT DRIVES AND STOPS NICE STRAIGHT AND TIGHT JUST AS IT SHOULD. IT HAS THE FACTORY 240 INLINE 6 MOTOR, 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, POWER ASSIST STEERING THAT IS VERY TIGHT AND DISC BRAKES UP FRONT. THIS TRUCK HAS REBUILT ELECTRIC CHOKE CARBURETOR AND FRESH POINTS, SO IT ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP, RUNS SMOOTH AND IS A EASE TO DRIVE ON COUNTRY ROADS OR ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS F100 IS VERY CLEAN UNDER THE HOOD WITH FACTORY DECALS AND ASSEMBLY MARKINGS STILL IN PLACE. IT HAS NICE AND CLEAN FLUIDS AND DOES NOT LEAK. I HAVE PULLED THE BATTERY IN PICS TO SHOW NOT ONLY IS THE BATTERY TRAY AND INNER FENDER NOT RUSTED OUT LIKE MOST OLDER TRUCKS, BUT THERE IS NO RUST ON FIRE WALL, COWL, UNDER HOOD OR ON ANY INNER FENDERS AND ALL THE WIRING AND BOLTS ARE ORIGINAL AND UN-TOUCHED. THIS IS A CLASSIC TRUCK THAT I WOULD NOT STRESS ABOUT BEING IN TRAFFIC WITH AND WOULD TRUST TO TAKE ANYWHERE :)
