It's time to part ways with the family Mustang. My adult daughter is the second owner of this amazingly low mileage (true low mileage) stock and completely unmolested '67 289 2bbl Automatic Coupe. This car was originally assembled in San Jose and had resided on the West Coast until just a few years ago when it was completely "gone-through" in Utah. This car now runs, drives, accelerates and stops better than it did pulling out of the dealership parking lot for the first time 50-years ago. The motor has never been cracked open; there are no strange noises, smells, smoke or oil leaks (the thermostat housing has started to seep since we listed for sale) but otherwise this carcharges, starts, idles, accelerates, doesn't overheat and basically runs perfect (I have made a number of 2000+mile road trips without a hint of trouble). The transmission also has no troubles and shifts perfect. Interior, paint, bumpers, exhaust and suspension (leaf springs, UCABS, shocks, strut bushings, wheel bearings, axle seals, etc.) are also new. New non-stock upgrades are the 2 ¼" GT dual exhaust, shoulder harness front seat-belts, aftermarket outside mirrors and steering wheel, 215 65R 15" TA's with American Racing "Smoothies", Power front Disc Brakes and Pertronix Electronic Ignition. So here's the bad: the driver's side door experienced an encounter with a parking lot post last year and although the damage was repaired it was repaired very poorly hence to restore this car to its otherwise exceptional condition the door should be redone and oh the thermostat housing should probably be replaced. With that said the doors, hood, trunk and windows all close/function without trouble and have no strange rattles or noises. This car is nice and we have been very proud that its been part of our family. This is an inexpensive way to add to your 'Stang collection or to get into a hobby that is admiral, fun and super rewarding, you will not be disappointed with this car my 100% rating will stand behind it. Questions are encourage! Thanks for reading; Chip and Family
