1966 Ford Mustang Coupe - Shelby Replica

This 66 Shelby Replica has been transformed over a 4 year period to the Awesome machine it is today by our staff. $80k in parts and labor spent on the build. It is truly one of a kind and FAST! The Replica is based on the 12 Mustang coupes that Carroll Shelby pulled off the assembly line in 1966 and built them to his likeness to show at dealerships across the country. It was not a production car. One of the original 12 brought $300k plus. One of our older body men remembers seeing one at a local dealer as boy with his father. So the project began!

Equipment: Bored 60 over 289 V8 complete with Edelbrock Aluminum heads, Roller rockers, Edelbrock intake and carb, Comp Cam. Custom Painted Cobra Valve covers and air cleaner, engine block painted the body color. Rebuilt C4 trans w/ 2500 stall-- 330HP!!!!. Drive line and rear end rebuilt. Concept One Aluminum Serpentine Kit w/ matching pumps and ac compressor. Custom made ac lines. Four wheel power disc brakes, rack and pinion steering system complete with new tilt column. Cobra leather wrapped steering wheel. Ceramic coated headers. Custom, well done dual exhaust. New fuel tank. New shocks. Meticulously Restored Body and Paint top to bottom is nearly flawless. PPG Basecoat Clearcoat Paint w/ Cobra Stripes painted under Four coats PPG Global Clear. Sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. Cobra badging. Shelby Cobra fiberglass hood that was straightened to look like its metal! Not your typical fiberglass rippled part. Shelby Racing lower valance and grille. Functioning Shelby Stainless hood pins and clips.

This car is very fast and sounds awesome. Very Tight Driver. It gets crazy attention everywhere it goes. Our owner is taking it out of his personal collection to make room for his new toy.
