1983 Ford Mustang Convertible 5.0L V-8 Manual
Unmolested original with extremely RARE 4-Speed
Not many unmolested fox body mustangs with original v-8 and manual. This is a fantastic garage find, it's been in storage for almost 6 years and not driven much. Runs great, trans shifts well, clutch is tight and engages well.
Brand new BFG's on aluminum turbine wheels.
Brand new battery
Great sounding dual exhaust.
Car has ZERO rust through! See pictures of the underside of the car...unbelievably solid and original!! Car is originally from Kansas and brought to Illinois in 2008 and only driven in nice weather until 2011 and then sat in dry garage until last year.
Car is not perfect, but look at the pics, it is a very nice original car with all of the original equipment...including the Ford "premium sound system" with built in aux amplifier. A/C car still has everything as it rolled off the showroom floor. The car is a time-capsule.
Passenger front window does not roll up, not sure if it is a bad connection or something else...all other windows roll up and down. Car needs a back window in the convertible top and there is a rip in the top on the passenger side rear. Car is missing a small piece of trim behind the drivers rear wheel, you can see in the pics. Car can be driven as it is while you do the small details to fix it up. Again, body is straight and original (there are a bunch of door dings on the passenger door from being parked in the garage for several years that can probably be touched up ) and has ZERO rust through.
I urge you to ask questions before bidding and welcome personal inspections. It is being sold absolutely as-is. It is a classic muscle car and not a new car...it has wear and tear to be expected on a 34 year old car. Buy it and drive it away.
