Owner's Manual SELLER REMARKS It's incredible to think that even at 50 years old. the original Ford Mustang still stands today as one of the quintessential classic cars. Amazingly enough. the first generation Mustangs remain an affordable option for those looking to own an iconic classic car. The 1966 Ford Mustang convertible is a great example why. A full restoration. and finished in a bright silver blue metallic. this droptop is ready for a sunny summer's day drive. Mustangs have always looked great in bright colors. and this silver blue metallic really stands out under our showroom lights. This car has great looking paint that is correct to the car and presents an excellent shine. The doors and trunk open and close with reassuring accuracy on new rubber seals. There isn't any flash suggesting this car is something it isn't. it's just proud to be what it is. built as original. and it certainly should be. Underneath is as nice as up to as well. There's the grille with the running pony emblem. the three-element taillights. and the optional luggage rack on the trunk. all of which make it ready to be proudly displayed at any classic car show or cruise in. The blue and black vinyl interior creates a charming environment that appears just the way it left the factory. with low-back bucket seats. The three-spoke steering wheel that wears the famous Mustang emblem in the center is in fantastic shape. and makes you feel right at home with your hands on the wheel. Matching blue floor mats keep the blue carpets in great shape. while the automatic shifter is perched between the comfortable center console and the vintage AM radio. Door panels. convertible top. and dash pad are all in fine condition. it's an interior that has obviously been sorted and freshened fairly recently. So many times we see six-cylinder mustangs being turned into V8 recreations. but it's extremely refreshing to see one housing a correct 200 cubic inch inline-six. and this one runs amazing! While it might not be the original engine. you would never know it from how detailed the engine bay is. The heart of the Mustang lineup for the early years. this Sprint 200 is a fun engine in its own right. The ford blue paint is a pleasing touch to the little engine. and it still exhales (extremely smoothly) into a single exhaust system with transverse muffler. The 3-speed automatic transmission makes sure it has plenty of punch around town. but cruises happily at modern highway speeds. At the corners. 14-inch steel wheels with classic Mustang hubcaps wear whitewall radials. Cars as clean as this 1966 Ford Mustang don't last in our showroom. The demand has really increased in recent years. and being a convertible draws more attraction to this nice little pony car. If you're ready to enjoy drop top fun in a quintessential classic. now is your chance.
