Description of 1980 Ford F-100 XLT Lariat

1980 Ford F100 Flareside with a 300 inline six and a 4 speed manual with overdrive. The overdrive makes it very pleasant to drive on the highway-- under 2000 rpm at 70.
The odometer is showing 50,656 original miles. I purchased this truck from the original owner some time back and have been driving it on weekends and down to the store occasionally. I have yet to actually use it as a truck. I've really enjoyed the simple honesty of it and how smooth that inline six drives along with how the overdrive transmission gives it great highway manners.
I'm selling it because I need something with a backseat as a hobby car. My kids are getting old enough that they want to go and it's more fun for me when they do. My wife has nixed any of them riding in the front seat. :(
The good: It runs, shifts, drives and stops fantastic. Mechanically it drives like it would have when it was new. The body is very clean. The tires are about 75% tread, do not leak and drive great.
The bad: It very clearly needs new wood in the bed. There are a couple of splits in the seams in the seat. It needs a new armrest on the drivers side. The clearcoat is getting thin in a few spots. The paint has cracked on one of the rear cab corners--it is a paint issue and not rust according to my body shop that I had look at it.
At the end of the day I'll be sad to see this one go. It's been a great little cruiser for me. I'm confident that it will treat the owner as well as it has treated me.
There is no warranty whatsoever on this sale. I encourage and welcome inspections. There will be a mutually executable bill of sale prior to finalization of the sale.
