Description of 1967 Ford Mustang GT

Here is a rare opportunity for a lucky collector car enthusiast!!!This fully restored 1967 Mustang “S Code” Fastback in the most desirable color combination; Candyapple Red with Black interior. nbsp;with the legendary 428 Cobra Jet V8 (not matching numbers. but a complete1967 engine with only 3. 00 miles since total professional rebuild and a smooth as butter 4-speed Toploader. Insured by Grundy for $50K. You'd be hard put to build it for that. My cruddy low resolution photos don't begin to do it justice. and current Alabama dismal winter skies don't help. You can see your reflection in the paint. This multi-trophy winner is the absolute “Bad Boy” of 1967 drag racing history. Fastest factory stock back in 1967/1968 per Hot Rod Magazine. Has the Marti report and is an Original 1967 “S Code Fastback”. NOT a clone. Car originally had a Big Block 390 engine and factory 4 speed toploader. Now puts out about 400 hp with a mild cam. Was built for dependability. not burning the tires off. I am 70 and drive the car sanely. I am only the third owner that I know of. all older gentlemen that loved. babied and cared deeply for this car. Always garaged. and it shows. The car only has 61. 00 actual miles on it since new. and only about 3. 00 miles since completely re-done. The specifics are as follows:BODY:The VIN on the data plate and the fender apron match. A ground up restoration was done using-correct factory matched Ford Candy Apple Red paint (only one high-quality re-paint in the original color in 48 years). All glass. including windshield and back glass/windows is excellent. Car had expensive 2 stage paint and has been cut and buffed to a mirror gloss. Never any rust (well. like I mentioned. there are a couple of very minor pin head sized bubbles on lower doors that I would correct if I bought the car). and I will fix them myself if I keep it and decide to sell one of my other collector cars. Again. most people don't even see them as they are so small. Just want to be honest and show how picky I am. All new premium chrome bumpers and door/window molding and rubber weatherstripping. New show chrome mirrors (driver's is remote-controlled). INTERIOR:The car is equipped with a new upgraded black sport vinyl interior with side bolsters (6 months old). and has the fold-down rear seat option. Also has the optional “pass-through” door to the trunk. New ultra thick Mass-Back ultra plush black carpet. Custom 14" wood steering wheel. Lots of FatMat 80 mil sound deadener was installed throughout the entire car (floors/doors). New interior vent grilles. New Auto-Meter Sport comp gauges (oil pressure/water temp/volts) are angled toward the driver in the factory dash radio opening. and a premium USB CD player with remote is hidden under the back of the dash where it is pretty well hidden from view. All gauges. wipers. sequential turn signals. etc. . work great. Factory 6. 00 rpm tach was completely professionally restored internally with digital components. All weatherstripping and window fuzzies are brand new. Has $2. 00 Vintage Air “Sure Fit” conditioning that fits without any dash mods and it blows very cold. Has optional aluminum dash trim in excellent condition. ENGINE:The F code 1967 428 Cobra Jet V8 was found in Talladega. AL and completely rebuilt (. 030 over) and fully balanced by well-known Tupelo Performance in Tupelo. MS. Only premium. high-end engine components were used in the build. and the heads were re-done with hardened seats for unleaded fuel. I have always run non-ethanol 93 octane Premium fuel in it. Oil has always been high ZZP 20-50 ZR-1 Valvoline. Has the rebuilt factory Holley 4 bbl and 2. 5” Flowmaster with “cut-outs”. Uncorked it brings people running at the shows. Great exhaust tone and great torque/performance. The engine runs cool (180 degrees in the hot AL summer) with excellent oil pressure. The cool factor of a pristine GT fastback stuffed full of 428 Cobra Jet just plain gets gear heads drooling. Even Chevy guys like it. hahahaTRANSMISSION:A date-code correct Ford 4-speed. standard ratio Toploader transmission with a new clutch and pressure plate. The shifter is chrome Hurst Ford option. BRAKES:The car has factory power front discs and rebuilt rear drums. wheel cylinders. shoes. linings and all drums are all new. Again. the car has been driven less than 3000 miles since all work was done. WHEELS. TIRES. REAR END:Factory candy apple painted steel wheels (professionally painted) and Ford dog dish caps give the car that cool “sleeper” look. P215/70R14 Goodyear T/A Tires on front and 225/70/14 on rear. Tread is better than 95%. Fresh alignment. OTHER STUFF:Always garaged and covered Has brand new Power Steering pump and all hoses. Removeable Blaupunkt rear speakers. Has Tank Armor metal enclosure to seal car from rear end impactNew premium battery. Rare aluminum rear end trim panels that have been sanded and refinished (only 1% of Mustangs had them)SUMMARY:All in all. this is a great “Near Show” condition Mustang that's guaranteed to turns heads and gets thumbs-up wherever you go. Most people consider it “show quality”. but I am super picky. In fact. I just spent $1. 00 to have just the drip rails smoothed out better than they were and most people thought they were fine before. This car is really nice. PLEASE NOTERemember. this is a 48 year old car driven only 61. 00 miles since purchased brand new in Memphis. but it has only 3. 00 turned miles since being fully restored. This car was intentionally kept as close to "stock" as possible since it is the valuable “S Code” I bought it to just drive as a reliable. rare big block car show cruiser. Then I got carried away doing upgrades to it. It is being sold “AS-IS. WHERE-IS” with absolutely no warranty or guarantee of any kind regarding its future performance. or its suitability for any specific use. VALUATION:I have had a lot of collector cars over the years. and I keep up on values. Recently. restored authentic 1967 Mustang “S Code” Fastbacks on eBay and AutoTrader and Collector car sites are selling for well into the $50K to $60K range. with pristine resto-mod or highly optioned S-Code GT trailer queen examples going for $75K or more. Hagerty places the value at $48. 00 and I have a lot of options/new items. I believe a $45. 00 price is very fair and reasonable hence I have placed the opening bid at $40. 00. The Buy it Now is $45. 00. Reserve is somewhere in the middle. I do not need to sell this car. and need no help selling it. I am not interested in any trades (have too many cars now). and am only interested a 100% cash sale. Prefer that this car go to a Mustang collector that will appreciate its' pedigree/condition/rarity. I own the car outright and will work with you on a bill of sale as Alabama has no titles on vintage cars. just bills of sale. I prefer you come see the car in person as the photos don't do it justice. Fly in. drive it home. Can work with your shipper that you pay for. Can store the car for 2-3 weeks after the sale if need be. Please contact me regarding this car only if you are an absolutely serious buyer. No joy rides or tire kickers or horse-traders. If you have negative feedback or less than 100 eBay buys please call me prior to bidding. NOTE:A NON-REFUNDABLE $500 DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL ONLY IS DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION END. If you need to check with your wife please do so BEFORE bidding. HahahaSeriously. a local "big bucks" guy said he'd pay me $48. 00 for the car. then. called and said his wife said “No”. Money. but no cojones. lolUnreal. The full balance is due within 7 days of auction end and is to be paid with certified funds only (bank wire transfer or bank cashier’s check. All funds must clear and be on deposit in my bank before I sign over the title and release the vehicle. Prices are starting to go through the roof lately on these highly desirable 1967 Mustang “S Code” Fastbacks. They are hard to find in any condition. and this one is low mileage. turn-key and drop-dead beautiful. Remember. spring and summer cruise nights are right around the corner. This Mustang is listed locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time once my price is met. I am located in Florence. AL (NW part of the state. 2 hours from Nashville or Birmingham; 2. 5 hours or so from Atlanta). My 100% positive feedback rating speaks for itself. Got questions? Call Tom at 256/443. 8846 (cell) to discuss the car. or email me at bamafrost@yahoo. comPlease no calls after 7 pm Alabama time. Don't bother placing a low bid as that is just a waste of both of our time. Bidding starts at $40. 00 to weed out those that are not really serious. and the reserve is several thousand more. I'd recommend the Buy It Now of $45. 00 if you are truly serious. Send me your e-mail address at the above email address and I'll forward the Marti report. EBay won't allow emails addresses through their message service. and I can't figure out how to post a PDF file to this ad. Have several local car guys that are very interested and truthfully that'd work for me as I'd avoid the eBay fees and shipping issues. So. if you'd like it in your garage you should move quickly on this rare and highly desirable ride. Come see it and you'll buy it. Only reluctantly selling to give my daughter some money for a down-payment on a house. Aggghhh. Have 4 other collector cars. and this one should sell fast at my reasonable price.
