OVERVIEW This incredible. and highly desired Model A wide bed pickup truck was purchased from the previous owner who bought it in 1999 and spent a year restoring it to be a weekly driver for him. He used it to go from home to his small engine repair business. and the truck is one of the finest running and driving Model A’s I have had the chance to drive! Please take a moment to read the detailed listing. look over the 100 extra-large detailed photos. and then call me to make it yours before someone else does it first! THIS VEHICLE HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE IN OUR POSSESSION. AND IS NOT A CONSIGNMENT VEHICLE. DESCRIPTION There is really not much to cover on a Model A when describing it. because the pictures essentially show it all. and you can probably fix anything on the darn thing with a screwdriver and ½” wrench! This particular truck was restored by the previous owner. who had a small engine repair shop for years here in Florida. to be used as a weekly driver to his shop and around town. It starts and runs WONDERFULLY. and has to be the most issue and trouble-free vehicle we have had in our showroom! It is tuned to perfection. and the thing just fires right up the 1st time. EVERY time. which is a testament to the prior owners small engine tuning ability I guess! It purrs like a kitten. and idles cleanly without any hiccups. The column mounted timing adjustment and hand throttle work as they should. as does the gravity fuel pump under the dash. It has been converted to 12V because he wanted to drive it at night safely. and the Halogen beam headlamps work wonderfully. as do the original style tail lamp and brake light units. Foot starter works like it should. as does the key switch and voltmeter. E-Brake is fully functional and adjusted correctly as well. Shifting is spot-on. and the clutch and brakes all work like they should with no known defects or issues. It will get up and go pretty good. and I have taken it to two local shows where it handles 45mph City traffic with ease. Wheels are in exceptional condition and have good tires installed. The bed wood is in great condition. and has a few screw holes from the prior owners shop sign that he had mounted in place. The bed wood is in good condition. has been water treated. and then painted black. He used it like a truck. so it has a few scuffs and marks in it. but still shows wonderfully. The body is clean and solid. and the paint is very nice. in fact it is probably quite a bit nicer than what they got when the factory painted them back in the day! It is not a concourse finish. but shows glossy. slick. and clean and will make you proud at any local or regional car show. A few small flaws exist in the finish. including some bubbles on the cowl section between the windshield and hood. They look like blisters from having oil under the paint. and are not soft or rusted. You could simply spray the top section of the cowl if you wanted to. and it would be addressed. The rest of the marks are little stone chips. scuffs. debris marks. etc. that you would expect to see on anything that has actually been driven and not trapped in a trailer. As you can see in the large photos below. it shows wonderfully. and I am probably just being over-descriptive to make sure you are happy when it comes off the delivery truck! Chassis is clean and neat and painted black. Everything works underneath too. Engine bay is clean and solid. but could use a good cleaning and detailing. Like I stated above. we do NOT detail our cars. so what you see is how we got it save for a quick wipe down and vacuum. A Sunday afternoon spent going over this truck and really cleaning it would make it look even better than it already does. This has the indented firewall that everyone wants. and the gravity fuel system works like a charm thanks in part to a cleaned and resealed gas tank which is in the stock location. The block has what the prior said is a “builder number” stamped in it. and there is a cowl vin plate with the VIN number that matches the Florida title. Interior is clean but not concourse. and the seat has no rips or damage. Glass has areas of laminate issues. and two small cracks. but everything is clear and useable. Windows roll up and down. and the rollers and door handles work like they should. Roof is clean and solid. and the wood throughout the truck seems to be in really good condition as well. This is a great little truck. and is more than nice enough to show. but even more fun to drive and use. In the area? Come see it. If not. fly down here for a personal showing!
