Description of 1993 Ford Mustang GT |
1993 Mustang GT Convertible Exterior: Vibrant Red Factory Paint; Black and Chrome Trim; Clear Tail Lights; Tinted Windows Interior: Factory Black Leather Seats and Carpet; Brushed AluminumTrim Wheels: Factory Chrome Pony; Aftermarket Replacement Center Caps Convertible Top: Factory Black Vinyl History:This Pony has been a reliable car for the past 12 years. I bought the car in 2004. The guy I bought it from claimed to have bought it from the original owner, who claimed she bought it new in '93 as an automatic with factory chrome pony wheels. Apparently, she drove it a "mile to work and a mile home" for most of its early life. The second owner--the guy I bought it from--installed a cam, headers, an exhaust, a shift kit, a sound system in the trunk (which I took out) and lowered the car by an inch. After I bought it in '04, I drove it for two years with few issues and I changed the automatic transmission out with a brand new T5 manual transmission. I then deployed to Iraq with the army and the car sat in storage for a year. In '08 I had the engine pulled, cleaned up and resealed. I also had the A/C converted to R134 (which still blows nice and cold to this day). I installed a new performance radiator and cooling fan, cold-air intake, and power steeringrack. I drove the car for about a year and deployed to Iraq again. The car sat in storage for another year. After returning, I got a truck and mostly drove the Mustang on the weekends for about a year. In 2011, I sold the truck and made the Mustang my daily driver. I had the car painted in 2012, only to have someone hit the front end in a parking lot (while parked) a week later. There was minimal damage and the car was repaired quickly. Recently, I had the exhaust changed back to the factory pipes. Honestly, there is so much more to it that I can't recall everything. I have many records that will come with the car. To sum it up, it's a great looking car that drives well. I'm simply no longer in need of it, and I want it to be enjoyed by someone who will love and appreciateit as I have. Current Issues:It needs new tires, the passenger side power lock and rear quarter window repaired, the speaker panel in the back driver's side repaired (I have the cover), and the CD player no longer ejects or plays. However, the radio, tape deck and auxiliary cable all work fine. The driver's seat has also begun to rip, but I have found a nice cover that has prevented more damage and provides more cushion. All other issues I consider to be trivial; e.g. the ashtray door will not stay closed. Honestly, It doesn't have that many issues overall. These are the only repairs that I would do, if I were to keep the car. AftermarketPart List:
