Ford sold Maier the car for $1 in 1982, and went onto be a showcase car in Hot Rod Magazine during 1982 and 1983.

This car was driven by both Bill Maier and Dan Gurney during the "Shootout" articles for Hot Rod magazine.It would compete against the Z28 Camaro, Capri, and the Firebird.
