1971 Ford Ranchero Squire withfactory 429 Cobra Jet!!!

with factory bucket seats with center console.

1 of only "54" 429CJ engine Ranchero Squiresmade in 1971...

Hello everyone, this is a listing for a 1971 Ford Ranchero Squire 429CJ. This is one of only 54 that left the factory with a 429CJ engine. The car was built in Atlanta Georgia on December 17, 1970 and stayed down south near all it its life. This is why it has good sheet metal. I know it went to Virginia also and then to me in Pennsylvania.

The car was well taken care of through the years and owners and it shows.

Please scroll down to see the 100 detailed pictures below. I also have pictures of the Marti report towards the end of the pictures below and also in the 25 pictures above.

Now before I get to far into the listing if anyone has ANY questions please feel free to call me directly at 717-675-4179. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. I go through great efforts to explain the whole car and to take many pictures to show every part of the car. I know someone might have some questions that I forgot to add so this is why I list my telephone number at the start of the listing and at the end. I hate when people list a car on EBay and they only have a couple pictures and hardly any write-up and expect to sell something. That's not me and will never be if you have a question please feel free to call.

Now back to the listing, this is a very original car from new. The car is pretty much the way it left the factory. The car has been repainted its original color over, from what I can tell, a very original sheet metal body. You can see many factory date code stampings over the entire body of the car.

The car definitely stands out with it being a Squire and on top of that a white vinyl top and white interior with black accents.

This car has very rare factory bucket seats and a center console which you hardly ever see in a ranchero most of the time it is a bucket seat with auto on the column. Its pretty much an original interior from what I can tell. The bucket seats, headliner, dash pad, center console, carpet, seatbelts, etc. are all original. I know the armrest pads have been changed and the cobra emblem on the glove box door was added but to cool to take off. Also the original AM radio was changed years ago and the extra gauges were added under the dashbut that is all.

The interior is in very good condition. The seats have no rips or tears as is the same for the headliner and door panels. The carpet is also not ripped or torn. The steering wheel is original and does not have any cracks anywhere. It is perfect. The dash pad has 2 small cracks on the top but not bad and the center console has some cracks but that is it.

The car still retains its original white vinyl top which is in good condition with 1 small split starting which I show a picture of.

The car has very good trim. The bumpers are in very good condition and aresmooth and shiny with no fades, pealing or speckles. The stainless trim has no dents and isin very good condition with no issues. The taillight bezels are nice and overall good. The rear quarter panel light trim on both sides are NOS and were just installed. the exterior mirrors were just changed are new.

The windshield and windows are crack and chip free. The windows roll up and down nice and smooth.

The car has newer door weather-strippingboth sides and new cowl seal just installed.

All of the exterior lights work as they should. The original key/door buzzer still works as it should when the key is in the ignition and you open the door. The seatbelt warning lite and buzzer also works as it should and then goes out after 5 seconds or so. The alternator light works as it should when you start the car and goes off and finally the lights on light comes on when the parking or headlights are turned on and the car is not running.

The car still retains its original 429CJ engine it came with from the factory. I know the engine was rebuilt previously but not sure exactly when I would guess the same time it was painted. The engine starts right up with just a turn of the key and idles nicely with NO issues. It goes right into gear and runs and drives down the road straight and smooth. The transmission shifts firm and smooth with no known issues. With the new dual exhaust it sounds excellent and what a big block should sound like.

The car came from the factory with 429CJ, C6 Transmission,Traction-Lok Differential, Hidden Headlights, Power Steering, Power Disk brakes, White Knitted Bucket seats, Console, Air Conditioning, Tinted glass complete, White Sidewall 14" tires, Sport Wheel Covers and Trailer Towing package.

I have only seen a couple of these429CJ rancheros at auction through the years and usually sell for $30,000-$75,000 plus 10% fees depending on original engine and also level of restoration. This is someone's chance to get one for the lower end of the pricing scale.

Now lets get to the 100 or so full page pictures below.

This is a very RARE car that you just don't see everyday. With only "54" 429CJ Ranchero Squires made how many are even still out there I am sure some but very few.

This is a car you can get right in and start driving and enjoying and with spring just around the corner you will be ready to cruise down the road with a extremely unique car that nobody else will have at the cruise ins and withall the429Cj power to match.

It takes me about 6 hours from start to finish to list something on EBay. From taking the pictures, uploading them to a server anddoing the listing. The car being a classic car is sold AS-IS with NO warranty.
