Description

I am selling a 1949 FORD F-3 delivery van milk truck that would make a KILLER hot rod or shop truck. If you saw the crew at Iron Resurrection on Velocity do a IH Metro w/ air ride for Cato, that is how I envision this one. Very unique and no info online about this style. I believe it was made for Ford by WARD Company in Conway Arkansas. I think they made this body style for many years as I did find a 1959 van that looked real similar. Wheelbase is 105" so its a desirable shorty for hot rod building. ALL ALUMINUM body. Ford lettering below grill and Ford script hubcaps. MODEL 9H-J series F-3 engine is flathead Ford 6 cylinder #173224. I did not check if its free or not (thought NOBODY in their right mind would use it anyhow...its screaming for crate 302 or 351 anyhow, or Chevy if thats your thing).

Body has some issues of course, ie someone cut side windows for the infamous camper conversion (they are 24" by 36"). The passenger front floor pan is separating from the body skin a bit. The folding door was steel on plywood and it is rotten on the bottom so needs rebuilt. The rear panel where it curves around to the tail end is dented down near the bottoms on both sides, and I see some small holes in the aluminum here on both sides. The steel wheel wells have some holes where they met the aluminum, not too bad. There are 4 extra holes drilled in the roof like some light was mounted up there. Generally body needs gone over.

All flat glass and generic window rubber from Steele Rubber will work fine. Very cool fan on the dash. 3 on the tree transmission, engine is complete w/ carb, generator, fan, radiator, etc. It is a 6 volt system. Open driveline w/ leaf springs in rear and straight axle w/ leafs in front. 7.50 x 17" tires (5 each).

The rear doors need adjusted and patched on the bottoms, but the latch mechanism is there w/ handle. Van is 16' long bumper to bumper, 6 feet wide and stands 91" off the ground (7' 7"). I have NO KEY to the ignition, sorry.

I have a clear Wyoming title in my name. Buyer to arrange all transport, and semi truck can get to my house easily. Truck is in Encampment WYOMING 82325 (no brakes for your estimates and does not run). I can deliver if not too far away (email me for quote). $300 due day of sale for deposit w/ Paypal; BALANCE will be a bank transfer or cash upon pickup in person. Great super rare van for the money, and you will be the only one in your state w/ one !!!
