Description of 1937 Ford Other

Representing the first years chassis/body design for Ford. now incorporating the lovely and iconic "Teardrop" headlamps integrated into the fenders. and E. T. "Bob" Gregoire's iconic designed grill. reminiscent of the Lincoln Zephyr. this 1937 Deluxe Tudor Touring Sedan is a great and fun representation of that model. Stored in Florida for a number of years (Florida titled). its virtually rust free. and represents a older and nice restoration with many upgrades. Best described as a very nice driver quality Tudor Sedan. it's not concourse. not perfect. but shows and drives very nicely. It garners a lot of attention. and its body/chassis is unique and visually beautiful. with an interesting and attractive body architecture and design. Lovely. in a Sahara Tan two stage finish. complimented by a very nice upgraded interior. seat belt equipped. it starts immediately with the push of a button. and runs well with no unusual noises or smoke. a 85 h/p. 221 cubic inch 21 stud flathead V8. now with domed pistons . insert bearings. and the new "97" Stromberg carburetor. it's sufficiently powered to effortlessly cruise at highway speeds. complemented by a indestructible three speed. synchronized in second and third gears. manual transmission and 3. 76 differential gear ratio. Tires are 16 inch bias ply wide whitewalls and are in very nice condition. Steering is light and effortless. with the now new 1936 Lincoln Zephyr inspired worm/roller steering unit. Power is now 12 volt. upgraded from the original 6 volt system. incorporating a new wiring harness. nbsp;fuse box. and alternator. All the lights. controls. and gauges function normally. Brakes are now hydraulic. drums) having been converted from the original cable system which was fitted to all 1937 Fords. Stopping is now quick and precise. Glass and stainless are in excellent condition with the exception of the left rear quarter window which has some minor delamination. A brand new. in the package. 1/4 window comes with the Ford. nbsp;obtained through Mac's Ford Parts. All the windows function. with the exception of the left rear. however are somewhat stiff in their actuation given their primitive regulator design. The left rear window regulator will require rebuild or replacement. This can be facilitated at the time of glass replacement as aforementioned. The 1937 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan has been completely serviced. inclusive of all oils replaced. 10/30 Valvoline with ZDDP additive. a coolant flush and replacement with the correct green. new spark plugs. alternator rebuild new drive belt. complete chassis lubrication. rake inspections and adjustment. and detail and waxing with Zymol premium Carnauba wax. I'm sure I missed something here. Seventy eight years ago. this 1937 Ford rolled off the Dearborn River Rouge assembly line brand new. Today. it is a survivor. older. having gone through many transitions and evolution of a few owners who imparted their interpretations into it. Overall. considering this. its remains a terrific car. not without its flaws. and not perfect. but a highly respectable. very nice. historical representation of years past.
