Description of 1988 Ford Mustang Mustang

Here is an incredible example of Street & Strip ! This 1988 Mustang is in nice stock appearing condition but as you look closer, you discover the multitude of improvements that turned this Mustang into the Street Beast it is ! The body is solid and appears to have a prior repaint in the original color. The hood has been replaced with a composite Cervani cowl. The interior is original and in great condition. She has been in the dry climate of Eastern Washington forever. The car shows 89,000 miles and yes the speedometer works. The gages are mounted with style and function, tach, oil, water, volts and even a air/fuel ratio digital gage. How about a line/lock and a 2 step as well ? The heart of the Stang starts with a Dart block with forged Eagle crank and rods with forged pistons. A Hyd. roller cam operates the roller rockers on the Trick Flow aluminum heads. A purpose built blow through 850 (?) Holley sits on top of a Edlebrock Victor intake. A CSR aluminum water pump combined with a giant aluminum cross flow radiator with 2 electric fans keep it all cool. A necessary Intercooler piped up front keeps the intake charge nice and cool. The twin Precision 62mm turbo's are fed through beautiful turbo headers and are filtered by K&N. 3" custom exhaust exits under the car. Of course it has the MSD 6T with timing controls, rev limiter and a methanol kit. This Stang was recently ran on a chassis dyno at Armstrong Performance in Enumclaw and produced a safe 11 lb boosted 654 rear wheel horsepower ! You can image the driving sensation this has ! Be prepared to slide around a bunch as the boost comes up. Do not let your friends drive it !!! This car is street legal of course but will not pass an emissions test, LOL. The Weld wheels have M/T 275/60/15 radials. Behind the Dart block is a McLoed dual disc clutch inside a Lakewood steel scatter shield. The Tremec 5 speed shifts awesome and it has a Chrome Moly special driveshaft hooked to the 8.8" Ford rear end with 3.73 gears and what looks to be Moser axles as there is a cast in "M" on the ends. The rear cover is an aluminum girdle. Oh yeah, the stock front suspension has been replaced with a tubular assembly with Hotchkis Struts. The frame has tubular connectors and the rear end is held in place with aftermarket control arms as seen in the photo's. Coil over shocks in the rear as well. A big Magna Fuel pump, filter and regulator are supported by a fuel tank with an added rear sump. #10 braided line bring the fuel all the way up front and yes, the fuel gage works. Her manners are pretty awesome for the performance she has. Call Bernie at 425.890.0921
