up for auction is a "classic updated restoration" of a 1955 ford thunderbird. it has been upgraded with safety and convenience add on's such as custom (dual master cylinder), (power steering), and (12 volt electric pusher fan). this vintage vehicle also has a completely rebuilt "Y" block 312" c.i. motor (bored .030 over), with a mild cam. and rebuilt manual 3 speed transmission with new throw-out bearing, new pressure plate, new clutch disc. also the little two-seater has been converted to 12 volts, with new wiring throughout, also added is 12 volt power cut off switch. it has a rebuilt radiator with new upper and lower hoses. also both "fresh air" ducts were replaced with reproduction units. the interior was completely replaced with original style upholstery including seat cover w/ (new foam added), new replacement door panels, new carpet, new dash cover, etc.. also note power seat motor was replaced and is in good working order. this car has many, many new items replaced such as new white wall tires (less than 1,000 miles), new horn ring, new hub caps, new tail lights, new chrome grill, etc.. also other restoration items to consider are thermal plated exhaust manifolds, sound & heat barrier insulation installed on floor and on removable hard top. also all stainless body trim has been either worked and polished or replaced with new items. this little T-bird also comes with parts not shown in photos and includes items like a folding soft top, extra hubcaps, extra transmission, shop manuals, and a pair of original polished aluminum t-bird valve covers.
