Description of 1973 Ford Mustang Fastback |
Smitty's Classics is proud to offer this awesome 1973 Ford Mach1 Mustang with 351c Cobra Jet Engine. This beautiful body off restoration was completed by Smitty's Classics just a few weeks ago and is a wonderful tribute to the end of an era. In 1973, the Mach 1 had a base 302ci Windsor engine followed by an optional 351ci 2v Cleveland and finally, the 351ci 4v Cleveland Cobra Jet. Stock, this 351c 4v Cobra Jet generated 266hp at 5400 rpm and was the most powerful engine available in the Mach 1. The engine has been upgraded with a performance cam, Edelbrock carburetor, a 2500 rpm stall torque converter and Ram Air. This beautiful car features a new Ram Air upgrade, 3 speed C6 automatic, new upgraded direct fit factory replacement air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, new AM/FM, and new 15in magnum 500 style wheels with cooper radial tires. It has been completely repainted in its original medium blue metallic. The interior has all new upholstery and has been color changed from blue to black deluxe. This 1973 Cobra Jet Mach 1 was professionally restored by Smitty's Classics in Lyons, KS. The Smitty's team replaced all rust issues with new panels, all of the front suspension, the break system from master cylinder to disks/drums, all the seals, axle and wheel bearings, alternator, starter, washer pump and many other components. To see the long list of new replacement parts and more images visit http://smittysclassics.com/product/73-mustang-mach-1. In order to eliminate surprises and be as transparent as possible, we always attempt to identify flaws that others may or may not notice. The new headliner has a repaired tear approximately 2" long next to the dome light. The rear quarters were repaired prior to Smitty's receiving the car. The body line is off between the driver's door and rear quarter and is visible in the pictures provided. The amp meter and fuel gage do not work. Both should work with a new amp meter which may not be repaired prior to sell. The car is for sale in Edmond, OK. And listed on other sites. We reserve the right to end the sale early.
