Description of 1991 Ford Mustang GT

1991 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L Convertible.
This is a survivor car, meaning it has no engine or drive-train modifications. The car is completely stock except for the aftermarket fiberglass hood and anniversary edition spoiler. It even has the original radio and the AC blows ice cold!
The body on this car is an 8 out of 10. The car was repainted by a previous owner, likely when the hood and spoiler were added. The paint on the hood is thin on the sides near the fenders. The rest of the paint is in very good condition. There is rust on the rocker panels that cannot be immediatelyseen because it is behind the GT side moldings. The bumpers have some paint touch-ups.
The convertible top was redone two years ago by Kimza Upholstery in Staten Island, NY. The convertible top boot is in excellent condition. The outside door handles are faded, but the car comes with two brand-new replacement handles.
The interior is a 9 out of 10. There are no cracks in the dash or tears in the seats. The center console lid and door armrests covers are loose. The factory radio works great.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The engine runs strong, transmission shifts great, and the car rides very nice. The stock brakes stop very well. Regular maintenance has been performed, and the following items were done last month before the car was taken out on a nice drive to a Cars and Coffee event:
New General TiresNew Interstate Battery and hold-downNew Washer reservoir and pump from Late Model RestorationNew Coolant Level Sensor from Late Model RestorationPower Steering system flushBrake Hydraulic system flushConversion to R-134A
Everything works very well on the car including the convertible top, lights, heat/AC, etc.
This is a 26-year-old vehicle so it does have some quirks. The Airbag light has been on and is flashing a Code 10. All airbag equipment appears to be intact. The "Low Coolant" light also comes on intermittently. The coolant level sensor was recently replaced, but the light still comes on when the coolant is full.
The CARFAX report shows a mileage discrepancy but it appears to be from clerical errors. The reported mileage on the reportjumps60,000 miles in four years, and the last entry of 79,125 miles is incorrect. The vehicle odometer shows just over 56,000 miles, which is in line with the mileage reported on the clear title.
I believe the odometer mileage is accurate, as there is little wear on the pedals, steering wheel, radio buttons, etc. Also, the engine runs strong and does not burn any oil, and the transmission shifts very nice, indicative of low miles.
This car is a great candidate for a full restoration or a resto-mod project. Unmodified examples of Fox-Body Mustangs are hard to find. Make and offer on this one now!
