If you decide to bid and win the auction, please have the integrity to honor and fulfill your purchase commitment. Thank you.

Before you and up for bid is my 1987 FORD F-150 4WD pickup truck. The description is thorough, therefore, please take the time to read the entire listing.
The particulars of this first year, 8th generation F-150 are as follows:
* Always a southern truck, senior owned and purchased new, 29 of its 31 years were spent in Monck's Corner, S.C. (approx. 45 miles west of Charleston), it was then moved to Lexington, S.C., these last 2 years. I then brought it to Florida prior to "Florence" in September.
* Non-smoker, no pets, always garaged and pampered, it is in immaculate condition!
* CARFAX certified (in hand) NO accident history. The report also corroborates the ownership and mileage. In March of this year, it was serviced at a facility in Columbia. This facility mistakenly indicated the truck had 22,099 when it had 2099 on the 5 digit odometer having rolled over after attaining 99,999. It presently has 3196 miles showing. (103,196) total actual miles since new.
* Additionally, AUTOCHECK has provided a report with the listing.
* In 2013, the owner's physician son had the truck fully restored for his dad at a cost exceeding $26K. Upon his dads passing, the truck was bequeathed to his son.
* At the time the restoration commenced, the truck had approx. 92K miles.
The comprehensive breakdown of the restoration includes but is not limited to:
* Removal of all trim, glass and moldings to completely strip, prime, block and repaint to original FORD Medium Dark Fire/White 2 tone. This included the removal of the bumpers, grill, exterior lights, outside rear view mirrors, door handles, emblems, etc. ($5000.00)
* The finish is beautiful with excellent reflection (see pics). I want to emphasize that there is not now, nor has there ever been any rust repair done on this truck.
* A solid truck throughout.
* Rebuilt 5.8 liter,(351 ci) V8 engine. ($4000.00)
* All new engine related components and accessories; alternator, starter, radiator, master cylinder, brake booster, power steering pump, belts, hoses, filters, fittings, clamps, fuel lines, Holley 4 bbl carburetor, distributor, plugs, wires, cap, etc. (over $2000.00)
* Rebuilt the factory C-6 automatic transmission ($2500.00)
* All new air conditioning system ($1500.00)
* Gibson quiet performance dual exhaust ($1000.00), not overstated or screaming "look at me"
* WESTIN step rails, WESTIN chrome (mirror polished) front off road bar w/integrated roller fairlead, WARN 8000LB winch w/remote, and auxiliary battery wired in to adequately power the winch ($3000.00)
* New Interior: reupholstered seats and door panels in original Ford material, new headliner and carpeting. ($2000.00) there is a small snag (1/2") in the headliner on the driver side
* All new weather stripping, door gaskets, window channels, window sweeps and wing window gaskets ($500.00)
* New FORD windshield and gasket ($500.00)
* New front and rear bumpers ($800.00), excellent chrome finish, no pitting or discoloration, the rear has a slight indentation (see pic)
Other miscellaneous:
* Rear end service, new pinon seal, wheel bearings, rotors/hubs (new from FORD in '87, one piece) brake service, new steering column, new tie rods, shocks and rear leaf springs
* Transfer case/hub mechanism service

* KENWOOD AM/FM/CD/MP3 Stereo w/new speakers
* New this year, FIRESTONE DESTINATION tires (approx. 1000 miles) and new period oem FORD factory wheels. ($1200.00)
* This is the XLT/LARIAT truck that is illustrated (same color's) in the 1987 sales brochure. It was the nicest trim level standard cab F150 that FORD offered in 1987. (brochure included)
* Both power windows roll up and down smoothly
* Power locks operate manually, by key, by power mechanism on each respective door and by alarm remote.
* Cruise control, fully operational
* Sliding rear window
* Tilt steering wheel
* In cab rear view mirror w/outside temp and compass display
* Perfect dash, NO cracks
* Every convenience and safety feature is fully operational.
(lights, wipers, horn, turn signals, reverse lights, courtesy dome, glove box, ignition buzzer, dash lights, etc.)
* All gauges and function monitoring displays are fully operational, no erratic or jumpy needles
* The truck has been driven approx. 12K miles since being restored.
* No exposure to winter conditions and therefore no exposure to corrosive agents applied to roads. (salt, mag chloride, brine, etc.)
* All buttons, knobs, stalks and switches are present
* ICE COLD AC, excellent heat/defrost and fan speeds
* Emergency brake holds firmly
* Original books, keys, service history and restoration documents
* Full size spare mounted beneath the bed, original jack and tire tool.
* Tail gate opens and closes properly

The truck starts right up and holds a smooth idle, there are NO annoying drips or leaks. It accelerates quickly, goes down the road straight and stops assuredly.
Recent service since the restoration included new batteries, fresh fluids, belts, hoses, filters, wheel bearing and brake service. It does not presently need anything.
At 32 model years of age, the F-150 is in remarkable condition, it looks, runs and drives great! I believe it to be aesthetically better than new with only minor flaws.
It can be driven anywhere with pride of ownership! It always receives nice compliments and the "thumbs up".
It is a classic truck from a time when trucks were still trucks...not luxury vehicles.
You are bidding to purchase the F-150, not to be the first to "look at it". Please have your funding in place prior to placing your bid. Thank you.
Please consult with your spouse, therapist, pet, or MAGIC 8-BALL prior to placing your bid, as I am not running a clinic for the confused. Thank you.
Inspections are welcome and encouraged. They will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding.
The truck and I are presently located in the Ft. Myers/Naples vicinity. (Cape Coral)
Transportation and/or shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Delivery is possible within the lower 48 states for $1000.00, (non-negotiable) as I own a Hodges transport.
I believe the truck could be driven home safely to anywhere in America. If you are to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the S.W. Florida International Airport in Ft. Myers, or the regional airport in Punta Gorda.
Given the caliber of the restoration, I have set a reasonable and very fair reserve for the truck. It is for sale.
DO NOT ask me what the reserve is, as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the exemplary condition, 1987 FORD F-150 4WD XLT/Lariat pickup truck that you see before you.
If you are "new" to ebay, have 0% feedback, less than 10 transactions, or excessive negative feedback, you will need to call me prior to placing your bid and express your intentions. If you do not call me first, your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from further bidding. This is to preserve the integrity of the auction.
I am NOT a dealer. I am a sincere seller seeking a sincere buyer. The auction conditions are few and easy to follow. These auctions cost money, but more importantly time. I will not waste your time, please do not waste mine.
I am a collector/hobbyist. Since 2007, I have sold more than 25 of my personal vehicles through eBay. Where collector vehicles are concerned, condition is open to interpretation. I am thorough in my description so as to provide sufficient information in order for one to make an informed and comfortable decision.
The F-150 truck before you is represented accurately and honestly.
Given the age of the truck, by bidding you acknowledge your understanding that the truck is being sold in "as is" condition with no expressed, written or otherwise implied warranties.
I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time should the truck no longer be available.
* A $1000.00 initial payment is required within 24 hours of auction close via PayPal, NO EXCEPTIONS.
* The winning bidder is required to contact me by phone within 24 hours of auction close to discuss arrangements. I will send out a congratulatory acknowledgement notification via eBay to the winning bidder.
The balance is to be paid in full within 7 days of auction close, under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer via a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer, as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties.
I DO NOT accept PayPal for the entire purchase, only the initial $1000.00 payment.
If you are to fly in and drive home or arrive to trailer the truck for yourself, I will accept cash in person for the balance provided that it is accomplished within 7 days of auction close.
If you require additional time to coordinate your travel arrangements, I am able to accommodate you within reason by storing the truck securely, provided that it has been paid for in full.
The truck and title to the truck will not be released until payment in full has been received. Upon receipt of payment in full, I will overnight via FEDEX, the title and bill of sale documents to the new owner.
If you are to fly in and/or arrive to trailer the truck, I will offer the option of hand delivering these documents to you upon your arrival.
If you secure your own transport company, I will coordinate with and assist that carrier.
Clear Florida title in my name.
eBay provides for only 24 pictures. I have selected pictures that best present a concise overview of the truck. If you would like any area specific pictures, simply request them.
I answer my phone quicker than I respond to e-mail, call me directly with any questions. If you reach voice mail, leave me a brief message along with a contact number, and I will return your call promptly. (usually within 1 hour)
If you would like to discuss a "buy it now", call me and present your offer. DO NOT call and ask me, "what's the lowest that you'll take?"
I am easy to communicate with and prefer speaking conversation. I do not text message at length.
Buyers from the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand are welcome and encouraged to bid with confidence.
If the truck is sold to an international buyer, I am available to transport the truck to the requisite shipping port for reasonable expenses.
This is a classic Ford F-150 that has been accorded an easy life by conscientious owners.
This F-150 is ready to provide 30 more years of enjoyment to its new owner(s)!
If you have been seeking a Ford F-150 of this era, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer example for the money.
Thanks for looking and good luck when you bid!
