Description of 1992 Ford Explorer XLT

1992 Ford Explorer XLT "Jurassic Park" Tour Vehicle-Thanks to a non paying winning bidder, we are now offering our beloved Explorer once again! It was originally green with tan leather interior. Same year and model (screen used was 2wd is the only difference) as the screen used Explorer. Original 4.0 V6 with 5 speed manual transmission. Runs and drives extremely well! Mechanically in good condition. Steers, brakes, drives and stops as it should. Starts immediately on first try and runs well with plenty of power. Has a few visible oil leaks but doesn't use any oil. Originally 4wd but the front driveshaft was removed when we purchased it, not sure why but will need attending to if you want 4wd. Previous owner stated engine was rebuilt and a new clutch was installed, very smooth and easy to drive. Brand new BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO's, perfect condition and rides great. Air conditioning system new and works great. If we were keeping it we would replace the shocks as they are tired (cheap and easy). Original interior has tired leather seats which we have covered. Carpet is decent, power windows and locks work as they should. Both of the seats are power, the driver side works but is slow and the motor should be replaced (or set it and forget it). Dash lights and turn signals work intermittently, I have not tried to fix so this will need attention. There is a crack in the drivers front door panel. Exterior converted into a Jurassic Park EXP 05 tour vehicle. 05 is the vehicle that Dr. Ian Malcom and Dr. Alan Grant were in. 04 is the one that was crushed by the T-Rex. Complete with plexi glass roof, roof box, front brush guard, rear tail lamp guards, running boards, antennas and lights. The brush guard and tail lamp guards are absolutely unavailable as new pieces but they have been meticulously replicated by a restorer and the pieces on this vehicle are from him. They are identical in every way to the original pieces and are brand new. The plexi roof and hood box are a good representative of the screen used ones, not exact but gets the point across. The roof is screwed to the sheet metal and is watertight. The paint scheme looks great and is in fine condition overall (not perfect but very nice). It is not perfectly screen accurate but of course looks the part. All of the extra lights are present but not hooked up (this is how we bought it, wiring is there and can be hooked up if so desired). We have an extra, perfectly screen accurate hood decal which we will include. There is an exterior speaker with T-Rex roar sound effect. There is a Kenwood CD player, new headlights, front marker lights and OEM Ford oval for the grille. We have made many appearances with this and people absolutely go bonkers when they see it. It is a solid, good running vehicle that is ready to go as is. You can leave it alone or continue the restoration by completing the interior etc. Title in hand! Much work done since we purchased it. The only reason we are selling it is because we bought a second one and only have room for one. Please feel free to ask ant and all questions before the auction ends. For more pictures, more information or to make an appointment to view the Explorer, call 978-928-4495 (Bill or Patrick). Vehicle is sold as-is where is with no warranty. We would be happy to help with shipping but this will be at the buyers expense. A $1,000.00 deposit is due by PayPal at auction end with the balance due within 7 days. Thanks for looking and best of luck!
