Description for Ford F-100 1971

100% original and unmolested Ford F100 Ranger XLT with the rare 390 CID (6.4L) V8 FE big block engine. Dual gas tanks and lockable utility box in the side. Heavy duty tow hitch wired to round connector plug suitable for camper trailer.Original paint sea foam green with darker green roof. Some surface rust on back tailgate and tray. Would come up beautiful with a new paint job or polish up and keep it in its original patina. The ranger XLT was the top of the range in this series of the last of the F100s with extra trim on the door panels and carpet. Three trim levels were available during the production of the fifth generation F-series, though the names were changed in 1970. The "Base" trim became the "Custom" and the "Custom Cab" became the "Sport Custom" joining "Ranger" as optional levels of equipment and trim. Late in production the Ranger trim level was upgraded with the additional "Ranger XLT" option. This truck has been my around town daily driver for the past 4 years and has never missed a beat. Recently replaced front control arm bushings and new tires and has been fully serviced and well looked after. Brakes work great as does power steering. Has Air conditioning but belt for it has been removed. Easily replaced. All interior dash is original.A great truck!
