========================1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL=======================390 V8 4BBL ( Rebuilt ) Date coded shown390 GT - R Heads ( see photos )========================C6 Automatic Transmission( rebuilt ~ see receipt )==================== Original Refreshed in 2010Driver Quality in Great Mechanical condition This is an excellent driving and running 500XL . The 390 V8 is very strong and runs smooth and cool all day . It has an Edelbrock 4bbl and dual exhaust with flow master mufflers that sound terrific . The motor feels tight and fresh and is date coded 5M30 with C6AE-R heads dated 5L23 and 6A, which would be a 1965/66 390 V8 not original to this car which is an X code 352 born Galaxie 500 XL . The C6 transmission is tight and smooth and receipt shows it was rebuilt 2009 . The handles and drive very well and cruises down the highway @ 60mph effortlessly . It accelerates strong and pulls you back in the seat . Power steering lets you drive this car with 2 fingers or even one if your feeling that cool ! All gauges and lights work as well as speedometer . Original radio is in dash but a am/fm/cd is in the glove box which provided the music .**************The interior is Super nice in this Galaxie ! These interiors are awesome in these XL'S and this one is in Great condition . New upholstered Front seats that are exquisite as well as very comfortable the rear is original and in great condition . New carpets and Headliner have been installed during the refresh of this car in 2010 . All the interior chrome and glass are excellent as well as the dash board cover and gauges . All interior lights work . The clock does not work . Cigarette lighter works and is useful for your phone charger .**************This car has had a respray and is a bit brighter with more metallic then the original Vintage Burgundy . A 1/2 pint of paint is included for touch ups and paint matchin, it is coded . The paint job looks great and shines very nice . It is not show quality paint work and does show imperfections along with a few touch ups . There are a few minor dings on the passenger lower rear quarter and paint scrapes that have been retouched . Lower quarters have been body worked but are solid . This car was painted about 10 yrs ago and looks well and is surely very nice for its age. New Window felt kit is included .The undercarriage is in good condition with all original floors and some metal work done in the trunk area . Frame is solid and front end is is great shape . New Rear Springs and shocks ! ****************Front bumper is original and in great condition . Rear bumper chrome is worn and needs adjustment on drivers side . All bright work is excellent and original . All glass is excellent . Rocker moldings are damaged in spots .******************Overall this is a very nice strong running driver quality 500 XL and will bring you lots of pleasure and excitement !
