Description of 1969 Ford F-250

1969 Ford F-250 LWB with a 352 V8 and C6 automatic transmission. Ford trucks are loved and sought after by Americans making them the #1 selling trucks in North America. In turn this makes these older trucks highly collectable. This service truck was built at the San Jose plant in November of 1968. It served Oregon Tire in Southern Oregon faithfully for many years. The badges of service cover the outside of truck and add to the incredible patina. which many pay dearly to approximate. After speaking with past employees of Oregon Tire we found in addition to regular maintenance this truck received a rebuilt transplanted engine then was soon retired and parked after its service in favor of a newer model. The title is still in the tire company’s name. that’s really cool. After years off the road with very little work she fired right up! She starts up immediately. runs strong with good oil pressure. and shifts smooth. After we replaced the fuel tank. water pump. starter. and gauge sending units we tuned her up and changed fluids. Now we can drive her anywhere. Tires have tons of tread. although sitting has given them some flat spots. Driving it and balancing the tires has decreased the bump. The door hinges are tight & solid. the floor is solid. cab corners are solid and firmly mounted. There is NO rust in door jams. door bottoms. behind the lower front fenders. Underside pictures reveal a solid frame. floor. & suspension components with minor rust present (see all pics). The only flaw is bed rust due to the heavy rubber bed protector used during the Oregon Tire service. The exterior is solid and fairly straight with a great patina that only comes with years of honest hard work! The glass is all good and a brake inspection showed recent brake service with plenty of pad and shoe life left. Interior is complete and in good original condition with a newer seat cover. All gauges work. as does the factory AM radio! Factory dual tanks and factory fomoco mirrors really round out the package.
