1983 Escort GT. Near restoration1.6L MPFI 4 cylinder/5 speed manual, non power steering, 135000 miles
I restored this car cause I wanted one as a kid. I REALLY wanted a Ford EXP, which I now haveI fashioned it after the 1979 Ford Mustang Indy 500 Pace car.TONS of new parts. Front brake pads, rear wheel cylinders, rear shoes, lower control arms with ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings/end links, fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, a/c compressor clutch, window run channels, new refabricated Accumulator and line, master cylinder, slave cylinder, new mini turbo muffler, (not a fart can)new heater core,Silverstar headlights, shocks, new main bearings, rear main seal, oil pan seal, timing belt, tensioner and kit, Throttle position sensor, Idle air control valve, valve cover gasket, new door strikers,Im sure Im forgetting something. I had the drivers seat bolsters repaired and restuffed. Redyed all the faded interior plastic. Original radio and factory rear amp STILL WORK! (so I kept them). New tires. This car has ZERO rust. ZERO! I tore it down to a shell and redid it. Previous owner did some other drivetrain work (cv axles etc)
I love this car but Im selling it cause Im moving across the country and cant take em(I have several vehicles) all plus I got the aforementioned Ford EXP. This car needs nothing. Its a fun car to drive, gets a lot of looks and gets good MPG. A few quirks as any 36 year old car wouldAs Ford's first "hot hatch" and answer to the VW Rabbit GTi, I felt it deserved a second chance.Feel free to ask any questions.. NOW This car DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE. The state of Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles 1985 and older. If your state does not have a work around, please Do Not bid. Ive had it registered and insured for three years. A bill of sale is what you will receive.https://dor.georgia.gov/title-not-required-or-optional-titles They WILL NOT DO IT.
