GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1973 Ford Maverick Grabber for sale. a built 351ci Windsor V8. The motor was built by Holbrook Enterprises of Livonia Michigan. The engine features forged pistons, zero balance, high volume oil pump, offset high rise intake, Holly 750dl. pumper with a regulator, electronic fuel pump, and dual timing chain. The powerful engine is mated to a 3-speed Ford C4 10 ¾ transmission with B&M shifter, 3000 stall converter with a... reverse manual valve body, and heavy-duty drive shaft. When the engine on this purpose-built drag car turns over you can hear it. The exhaust was custom made by a race shop and has large primary tubes into a 3.5'' collector, to 3.5'' aluminized exhaust, into 3.5'' Dynomax mufflers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 9'' Detroit Locker rear end with 486 gears. The exterior has been repainted red which was a color not available to the Ford Maverick from the factory. The exterior also features wide slick Nitto tires in the rear to put all of the power down. The paint catches the eye and is in good condition. The underside of the car is extremely clean as it has been media-blasted and repainted black. One will notice upon looking at the car the large hood scoop. The hood is off of a 1977 Ford Maverick and features a hood scoop that is in good condition. Moving to the interior one can find a 6 point roll cage that was added due to the high-performance nature of the car. There are also red racing seats with 5-point harnesses to protect occupants. Other than a custom Procomp gauge cluster, the interior is fairly bare-bones to keep unnecessary weight to a minimum. This purpose-built drag car is street legal and belongs at car shows just as much as it belongs at the drag strip. With its loud engine and striking paint, it is guaranteed to catch the attention of anybody passing by. Receipts and other documents are included and clearly outline the build that this car has undergone. Please call or email with any questions or for additional information.
