1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 PONY interior C4 OD Trans NO RESERVE matching#

Rare numbers Matching1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 that is ready for the enthusiast who is ready for a ground up restoration! Very solid fastback Mustang! This is my Eleanor! Hate to sell!

All is included in Pictures. A few parts may be added as I find them, but basically the pictures show everything included. Anything else should be considered a bonus.

Engine is a 289 V8 2V with a 2 barrel carb and pulled running & driving.

THE STORY:

My buddy went to look at a 1965 coupe for sale & saw this unique car under a tarp next to the mint coupe & asked if that was for sale, the owners agreed to sell the fastback! The legend began!

I was slowly restoring this, but 4 kids later & too many other projects, I decided to thin them my projects out. The Trans has been fully rebuild professionally with a new torque converter. The engine is painted in por15 engine paint, the engine has about 15,000 miles since it was rebuilt.

I have owned vehicle since approx 1996 with a clear Title. I bought from my a great friend who's identity was this car, he took a job out of state & I bought it. Originally it was painted Burgundy Metallic, it was later re-painted Metallic Blue, now currently primer black.

These 2+2 Fastback Mustangs, are getting harder to find, add the fact that it has the Pony interior, only 5.8% were metallic burgundy & with the C4 Automatic with a rare Over-drive tranny it is an awesome rare combo!

Notes:

The kids recently cracked the windshield with a ball in the garage & the driverside window, that was the last straw(I have a replacement side window that comes with!)

A rear leaf spring is broken, just prior to disassembly by my buddy who did a peel out in his garage & it broke, but it was epic! as a last hora prior to project disassembly & restore.
