Description of 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Original/Unrestored 1957 Ford ThunderbirdTitle in my nameAll original all matching292 / 3 speed Special/Factory order 1957 hardtopOriginal Town & Country RadioNew Tires (wheels blasted and primer)New brake kitsNew shocksOriginal 2 barrel Carb (rebuilt by BFIC in Burbank. CA)New body bushing kit (not installed)New seat belts (not installed)New dual pass aluminum radiator (still have original)Rebuilt starter (Gene's Alt & Starter Greenville. SC)Rebuilt generator (Gene's Alt & Starter Greenville. SC)New fuel tank & components New misc. things such as hoses. t-stat. fan belt. spark plugs. etc. Runs and drives. I have put over $2000 in it to get it together and running and driving as it sits. I should have a folder with all receipts. I also have a printed spec manual I ordered with factory drawings and the breakdown of the entire car. Engine possibly rebuilt before my possession. it is clean inside engine. no smoke and runs great. Exhaust/mufflers have not been installed so it is loud. Will not sell hardtop separate. or anything elseSat for 21 years since the car was taken apart for restoration before i purchased a couple years ago. There is rust. It looks worse then it really is since there is no paint anywhere. Obviously the body was sanded blasted and the entire car is surfaced rust. There is a lot of small rusted out areas but repairable for someone thats even half decent with sheet metal work. Toe board/kick panel/floor corner. fenders. trunk area. hardtop weather strip seals behind drivers seat. There is a dent on the left rear fender but repairable. I was going to buy all replacement sheet metal from sheet metal company in Charlotte. NC that specializes in Thunderbirds to make the repairs easy and properly fitting. There is body filler present (shown in pics) on the car but since i never got to the body work. I have not removed any of it to see what is there. If i am not mistaken there are 16 factory lead seams where the early bird body pieces are joined. but again i have not looked into the body filler on the body to confirm or identify. Door glass drivers side missing (shattered/removed) but all trim is there and it functions. Door glass passenger side shattered but still in there and all trim is there. Passenger side not going up. May be off track of handle not seated properly. Frame looks great. I assume it was blasted and painted 21 years ago. Doors and door bottoms looks great. Hood and trunk looks great. Hardtop looks great (needs sand. paint. and headliner). its all there. (I have been offered $3500 for the top alone)Where I left off with the project was to getting ready to do the the electrical work (cluster panel. lights. etc. ) so i could register/tag and begin driving it while working on sheet metal. It may be as simple as making the connections at the generator and connecting some of the loose ends. All the wiring appears to be connected under the dash and routed where they should throughout the rest of the car. I have convinced myself to sell because I do not have the time due to my business nor do I have a garage now to work on it. Please feel free to ask any questions or request specific pictures. Also if you would like more pictures. please provide your email and I can send link. I have this 1957 Thunderbird for sale locally also and I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. Don't miss your chance to get the rare 1957 early bird. Build it how you want. when you want. and for how much you want. Your chance is now.
