Description of 1967 Ford Thunderbird

1967 Ford Thunderbird 4 Door Hardtop(Project Car)

VIN: 7YB4Q151763

Engine: Rebuilt Ford Big Block Thunder Jet 429ci V8

Transmission: (2WD) Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic

This black on black special with black vinyl top is a true gentleman's automobile that also brings the feel of a classic family style car. The car features the highly sought after 429ci Thunder Jet V8 which has been rebuilt. It is an all original car inside and out with a clear title and 112k on the odometer. This Non-smoker car is equipped with factory suicide doors and and an original black leather interior. The motor runs, does not make any abnormal or alarming noises, and does not use oil. The transmission does not slip and shifts into gear as intended from the factory. The steering is tight and functions as it should. The Firestone tires are in good condition and have low miles but yes are older in age (18 years) so may need replaced. Complete with all 4 hubcaps on the car and they are in decent shape. All of the doors have proper fitment and open and close without issues.

The interior features include power seats, power windows, and power locks. A window is not going down well as of now, and the radio makes fuzzy noises too. Headlight lens covers do not work without manually being adjusted. The headliner and seats are in good condition. The dash appears to be in decent shape and does not have any cracks or scuffs but some of the dash lights are currently not working and the car needs a power antenna. The trunk does have rust, it is the second to last photo - most rust looks like it came in under the rear vent behind the rear glass.

This car has been repainted and some body filler was used in the left and right rear quarters. The vacuum lines for the headlights covers needs to be replaced. There is rust on both rear fender wells and some on the interior of the trunk. This would be a great place to start for a project restoration because the car is solid and all the hard to find parts such as the chrome trim and original motor are there. A very hard to find car these days, the underbody does have rot and overall the car is a good running project car ... ready for someones winter project.

Please feel free to come see it before you buy, or we can work with a shipper as well.
