Description of 1935 Ford Other Coupe

There's something special about the 1935 Ford 3-Window coupe. The styling combines the traditional upright grille with a streamlined body to create one of the best-looking cars of the period. So to find this '30s machine built to be like a '50s style hot rod/moonshiner is truly an interesting treat. While it's an upgraded machine, this all-steel coupe thankfully stays quite faithful to the original design. The gently rounded fenders with their peaked crease through the middle, the... highly detailed hood vents, and stylish long rear: it all feels like this has all been transported intact from 1935. Furthering this experience are all the great details, from the neatly dipped bumpers to the vinyl roof top. And everyone loves whitewalls, so it's nice to have them so distinct on this slick black machine. Plus, you might notice the cool wire wheels with proper Ford V8 center caps highlighted in red. It goes so nicely with the full-length red pinstripe. The hints of red on the outside get you ready for the full red interior. It has the clean look of a solid investment, but you can also tell they made sure to retain the vintage atmosphere. You see this classic style everywhere from the banjo steering wheel to the AM radio that's still on display. The roll-down rear window gives you good ventilation, and the rear-hinged trunk is just ready to add a rumble seat. Plus, some nice pinstriping accents and added Stewart Warner gauges are part of the subtle reminder of the hot rod upgrades. The reason why we keep referring this to a moonshiner vehicle is really about what's under the hood. It's a 283 cubic-inch small block borrowed from a '58 Chevy. This is exactly the kind of motor that would have been added in the late '50s for anyone looking to be a stealthy machine packing extra power. In fact, the V8 really has a terrific '50-style appearance with the vintage valve covers and even a generator. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, this is a strong runner. And you get complete control of it all with the three-speed manual transmission. As you look underneath this one, you'll see the clean look of a solid restoration investment, as well as some nice upgrades, like front disc brakes. This is a desirable classic Ford design with a cool secret under the skin. So you're looking at a distinct coupe that will always have a story to tell, call today!
