Description of 1987 Ford F-150

TRUCK BEING SOLD AS IS. NO WARRANTEE Condition Poor. but it runs. I bought this truck 5 years ago on ebay to move from one house to another. I paid $900 and since then I have put new tires on it. new starter/solenoid. new battery. fixed the steering linkage. fixed the turn signals. and filled it with synthetic motor oil. In the last 5 years. I only put 3000 miles on the truck so I'm selling it. The interior is in poor condition. The radio does not work. It does have heat. The windshield wipers need to be replaced. THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE TRUCK – It is difficult to fill with fuel. IN ORDER TO FILL IT WITH FUEL. YOU HAVE TO INSERT A FUNNEL INTO A RUBBER TUBE THAT IS LOCATED UNDER THE GAS CAP. THEN YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE GAS NOZZLE AGASINST THE FUNNEL TO FILL IT. You can still close the gas cap and click seal it. There is a tube that runs from where you put the gas pump into the tank. Inside that tube. there is a second tube. One tube carries air out while the other tube lets gas in. That tube broke. so it was repaired with a rubber hose. It prevents you from just sticking the gas pump in the hole and squeezing the handle. I have included pictures to show what I mean. You will likely have to repair this issue. ALSO THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. When it is full of gas. the gas gauge says full. but when it is emptying. it swings around wildly. It has a big 8 foot bed that hold sheets of plywood or sheetrock. It has a cap on the back that is in terrible condition and the window does not latch to the door on the cab. I really enjoyed owning this truck. but now I only use to occasionally run junk to the local dump. I figure I would sell it to someone who would maintain it and use it. You will be able to drive it away from house so long as it isn’t raining (unless you bring new windshield wipers). Good luck!
