Description of 1978 Ford Mustang RARE COBRA MUSTANG

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME. PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-803eight WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY IT NOW. Let me say first, you are welcome to take Farrah Fawcett but my dog Johnny Cash would not be included for all of the money in the world! This is a really cool, completely stock, one lady owner 1978 Ford Mustang Cobra that has been stored for the last 36 years here in Southern California until recently being taken out for a good mechanical freshening up. It is sort of a Barn Find except the barn was a really nice garage attached to the house in a nice neighborhood. The Mustang retains it's original white paint and blue stripes. It has not been re-painted or messed with. The car is very straight down the sides. The floorboards appear solid. It does have some minor rust on the passenger side rear quarter. The bottoms of the doors have some corrosion but it is difficult to describe. It hasn't rusted through or anything and is solid but corroded where the paint has flaked off. This area would be extremely easy to fix and blend but, unlike a lot of people on eBay, I am not trying to hide anything. I want you to know exactly what you are getting. None of it is really that bad but I want to be honest and upfront from the start so you are happy with your new Mustang. The doors fit and close nicely as does the rear hatchback that still has the factory louvers.
If you have been looking for a fun and inexpensive Mustang to drive or do a complete restoration on, you will be hard pressed to find a more solid original example. These cars are pretty rare. This model was made (sort of) famous by Hollywood by starring in the TV show Charlie's Angels. They were the answer to the similarly underpowered Pontiac Trans Am and Chevrolet Z/28 of the Disco Era. All three of them looked really cool but would get destroyed in a race by a new Toyota Camry today.
The car runs great now. Over $2500 recently invested in new gas tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, battery, brakes, hoses, belts, plugs, and plug wires. It starts right up and runs well. It is a 302 cubic inch V-8 small block Ford mated to an automatic transmission. It is equipped with power steering and power brakes. Newer tires mounted on the factory wheels. The interior is in beautiful condition and is unrestored. The upholstery is excellent with the only exception being two minor splits in the seam on the driver's seat. I think it could be easily pulled together and re-stitched. The dashpad, headliner, door panels, etc. are all in excellent condition. Original AM/FM stereo with an 8 Track player. A big collection of quality title 70s and 80s Rock and Roll 8 track tapes will be included. The car is cool but it is completely original and could definitely use some cosmetic restoration. Please be realistic with your expectations. Clean, clear California title in hand. I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego.
