Cassette Player. Power Steering. Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS Everyone knows Mustangs are really Falcons underneath. right? So while Mustang values skyrocket. you can get pretty much the same driving experience in this 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint convertible for a fraction of the price. Complete with a 260 cubic inch V8. it's also somewhat rare in its own right and is sure to catch other cars asleep at the wheel. Restored several years ago and finished in low-profile Wimbledon White. this is one heck of a sleeper. The finish remains shiny with only a few minor blems from being driven and enjoyed. but that's easy to understand. because as soon as you turn the key. this Falcon whispers. "Let's party. and you hit the road. Fit and finish are quite good. suggesting a quality car before the work started and it was definitely not inexpensively done. It also looks slick in a 1960s kind of way. For instance. dig the vestigial tail fins. the hood scoop that looks like it was borrowed from a Thunderbird. and the cool way the sheetmetal frames the contours of the side trim. Never noticed that stuff on a Falcon before. did you? The car looks great in person. and you'll be proud to roll up to the next cruise night behind the wheel. where you'll undoubtedly get extra appreciation for daring to be different. Stock black buckets give the interior a sporty demeanor. and there's plenty of space for four in this cool ragtop. This is actually a correct code 86B black bucket seat car. so it got fresh seat covers along with door panels. a new dash pad. and nice carpets. Falcons with consoles are rather rare. and it gives the slick little convertible a much sportier look and that's an original console. not a repro. so it fits right and only shows light signs of age. The gauges are basic. but they all work and the upgraded AM/FM/cassette radio fits in the center of the dash for upgraded entertainment on the road. That's a brand new white vinyl top that fits rather well and fits under a black boot when it's folded. The trunk is usefully shaped and big enough to carry all your gear. and offers a full-sized spare with fresh reproduction mat and tire cover. The 260 cubic inch V8 nestled between the shock towers looks awfully familiar. doesn't it? Not over-dressed. but with some chrome bits like the valve covers and air cleaner. it looks nice enough that you won't be ashamed to lift the hood at a show. Rebuilt to stock specs. it makes great power and a wonderful V8 soundtrack. moving the lightweight Falcon easily. The oil pump. gaskets. and hoses are fresh. so it's ready to run and power steering makes it a joy to drive. A 2-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission powers the original 3. 25-geared rear out back. Once glance underneath will convince you that this Falcon is highly original. very solid. and there's a coating of satin black paint that doesn't hide any surprises for the new owner. A new dual exhaust system sounds muscular without being obnoxious. making this Falcon more of a sleeper than any Mustang could ever muster. and those Magnum 500-style wheels look racy and carry relatively fat 195/70/14 white-letter radials all around. For all the thrills of a Mustang in a more unusual and stealthy package. this Falcon deserves a close look.
