Description of 1947 Ford Other Pickups --

This is one for the haulers, attention getters, and anyone who loves unique vintage trucks. After all, how often do you ever see a 1947 Ford One-Ton Stake Bed? But with a 289 V8, cool paint, and all that lumber, this truck has been nicely restored to bring nostalgia to the commercial-grade field.
Do you have a business to promote or just want to make a splash at car shows? Imagine parking this vintage stake truck at your front door and/or taking up two spaces at an enthusiast event. After all, people are going to marvel at a truck like this. In 1947 this was the kind of industrial machine that got us moving again immediately after WWII. And now this has been given the right investments to be a showpiece without losing its heritage. For example, the gray metallic paint is borrowed from a modern Ford palette. So you get a modern shine, but in a color that doesn't look out of place for the 1940s. Plus, the all the trim is complete and finished in a matte color, so it coordinates nicely with the paint. There's only about 300 miles on this one since it completed its restoration, and so you see great details, like the new roof lights on the cab and fresh rubber around the new windows. And the tires are new on the industrial-sized 20-inch wheels (six in total, because this is a hard-working dually.) A fresh build also means fresh lumber in the 10-foot stake-side flatbed that's going to get you a ton of attention.
The interior was restored to remain working-class all the way, but that's all part of the vintage truck appeal. The durable bench seat is part of an easy-to-clean package to make maintenance a snap. And the four-spoke steering wheel has that great vintage feeling that instantly connects you to generations of hard workers that came before you. But then you start to notice some very handy upgrades. For example, there's modern insulation/sound proofing material under the carpeting. And you've got a full set of modern gauges, including a handy column-mounted tach.
Under the hood is where this one really deviates from the past. You're going to love the extra power that comes from a fresher 289 cubic-inch V8. It has all the right pieces like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, MSD Street Fire plug wires, and a nice dual exhaust. There are plenty of new components, like the starter solenoid, belts, hoses, and alternator (fully upgraded to a 12-volt system.) The four-speed transmission is a true 1947 unit, but it has a new clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. So that means a classic experience that you can enjoy with confidence. In fact, the restoration also included new wheel cylinders, new king pins, new tie rod ends, and all the other pieces you want for a solid-feeling industrial-sized classic.
Complete with restoration photos, this 1947 Ford is a great classic pickup that can be driven to work or shows with plenty of pride. So if you're ready for industrial-sized cool, call today!
