Description of 1965 Ford Falcon futura

1965 Ford Falcon Futura original Southern California car still wearing its original Black license plates. It has a very nice running 289 V8 with automatic transmission. We bought it from an old guy in San Diego who had the car for many years but had let it sit for the last 3 years. So to get it up and running we had around $1400 in work including new Edelbrock carburetor, new starter, new front springs and radiator cleaned and resealed. The paint color looks like Ivy Green like on the Steve McQueen Bullitt Mustang, has a nice shine and I would says its good daily driver condition, not showcar paint. All the original chrome trim is there and in nice shape.Interior has bucket front seats that are not original. The dashpad is excellent as is the headliner. There is a nice aftermarket steering wheel installed but when the upgrade was done it looks like they did not reconnect the turn signals wires. The original AM radio is still installed. The previous owner also did a power disc brake conversion at some point, the brakes work great. Its a huge improvement over the non power drums. Like most Falcons, it does not have power steering and it would be a nice upgrade to do.New springs were installed up front, the previous owner had short springs to lower the car and we wanted it to be stock height, now it needs to checked for camber adjustment but drives straight without pulling in either direction. Speedometer works, fuel gauge not working, temp gauge works. The headlights and running lights work but dash lights not working. There is an old aftermarket tachometer that is not hooked up, we left it in case someone wants to wire it up, or just remove it. The original radio is in the dash. Someone had installed rear shelf speakers but removed them before selling the car so the mounting holes are there.Clean California title in hand, current registration. With a little more time tinkering this winter, this will be a well sorted classic Falcon.
