Description of 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible

Originality, distinction, and droptop desirability - sometimes you can get a classic with everything you want. But rarely will it be in something as iconic as this restored 1967 Ford Mustang convertible.

It all starts with the red paint, because after all, a bright red Mustang is as American as apple pie. This bright color goes nicely with the upgraded style that came in 1967. A large front overhang, deeper C-channel on the sides, and a concave rear panel really added a sporty style while never losing the spirit that made us fall in love with the first pony car. In fact, this one really does a good job with original style. And you see it everywhere from the factory-style turbine wheel covers, to the extra bright horse emblem leading the way.

The newer vinyl top looks crisp against the red paint, and if you like this color combo, it only gets better with the roof down. After all, the all black interior is quite inviting. The seats look like they have been recovered during the restoration, and now you have an armrest center console with cup holder in-between. The upgrades don't stop there. There's a neatly integrated Clarion AM/FM/CD deck with four modern speakers for crisp and clear music even when the top is down. So if this is starting to look like a great cruising machine, then you'll appreciate the driver-oriented upgrades like the wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel and well-integrated tach in the center of the gauges.

When you look under the hood, you're not only going to discover a distinct motor, but also a pristinely presented one, too. The long block stretching down the middle is Ford's inline-six engine, and the shine on the valve cover, matching air topper, and overall tidy look tells you they invested plenty during the restoration. Even the proper decals are in place. This 170 cubic-inch unit has all the right supporting components, including new motor mounts, rebuilt fuel pump, and a newer starter. It fires up with ease, and you'll love the inherently smooth nature of the inline cylinders. Even the three-speed automatic transmission is there to deliver an easy driving experience.

We have the build receipts documenting the restoration investment, but all you have to do is see the ultra-clean undercarriage photos to understand how comprehensive the work was. So if you love a first-gen Mustang droptop with plenty of standout quality and style, call today!
