Presenting my original 1969 Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet signed by Mr. Carroll Shelby. This Unique Beauty shows Immaculate and is a full correct Frame Off Restoration restored to the Order Sheet & Marti Report. Vin# 9F02Q128189 was built in the Dearborn plant on 11/12/1968 and released to Glenbrook Ford Inc. in Glenview, Illinois on 11/13/1968. MSRP was $4,247.33 optioned with the incredible 428 CJ engine, Candy Apple Red paint with Blackout Hood Treatment, White Clarion Knit Vinyl Mach 1 Hi-Back Bucket Seats, 3:00 Standard Axle Ratio with the Select-Shift C-6 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission.

The no rust Body, Engine, Drive-line and Transmission are original to the car. The interior is mostly original with freshened seats pads and covers along with brand new carpet. The dash, gages, clock, shifter, pedals, mirror, sun visors etc. are original. As it was an early build date, they came with the beautiful lighter teak wood panels of which is superb with the classic white interior! The engine compartment is immaculate and runs perfectly. Bumpers, door handles were re-chromed and rear louver window treatment was added.
The car was previously owned by an older gentlemen, 2nd owner who only used it for car shows that he trailered the car back and forth. He put less than 300 miles on the car since the engine was rebuilt back to Mfg. standards and restoration. The car was kept in a locked climate control garage with his other cars. You are more than welcome to the trophies, brochures, manuals, original perforated spec sheet, keys etc...
The 428 CJ cars were either ordered two ways. Some opted to for the basic non-optioned car with the 3:90 or 4:30 Drag Pak 4 Speed manual cars to race. Others ordered the car as to drive comfortably with the easy automatic transmission and 3:00 (gas friendly) axle ratio.
I had JBA Performance, known in the Mustang World go through the car as it basically sat for years in storage. Everything from tires, brakes, bushings, adjusted steering box and front end alignment, new Koni shocks, sending unit, spark plugs, period correct Autolite Battery were replaced. I change the entire exhaust system back to the manifold to get a better/deeper sound. I have a set of Magnum 500 wheels if you are interested for purchase. The original spare rim was powder-coated black and a new period correct Wide-Oval Tire was put on. The AM radio works perfectly, so on and so on etc.......
