You are bidding on a 1929 Ford model "A" pick up. I am selling this for an elderly friend who can no longer drive it. so it's now reluctantly for sale. It was restored probably 15 or so years ago. and has held up quite well. There are little chips and scratches. but the truck cleans up and shows very well. This was originally an Oklahoma farm truck and was found in the barn by the current owner. It was very solid. and had been parked since the early 1950's. This is the base model truck. and the owner wished to have it restored as such. hence the painted radiator shell. The body had a new wood kit installed. along with the correct top and visor material. The wiring harness. instruments etc were also replaced. Then engine was also rebuilt and has approximately 3500 miles or so on it. This truck has been converted to 12 volts for ease of starting. and so that the owner could use a GPS. and charge his cell phone while driving. An alternator has been fitted in place of the generator. but nothing was hacked up to accomplish the conversion. The truck also has a master disconnect switch fitted if one wishes to store it. or to keep the in-laws from taking it out on joy rides. The fuel tank was replaced with a rust and crack free unit that the owner had purchased many years before. As previously stated. the current owner can no longer safely drive it. It has the original mechanical brakes. and while it stops well. it's just too much for him to handle. Instead of converting it to power brakes and steering. he has decided to focus on some of his more "driver friendly" vehicles. which he can safely drive. This truck would make a great parade vehicle. or just a fun conversation or advertising piece. I will be adding more photos later today. On Mar-18-15 at 16:54:08 PDT. seller added the following information:I have been asked by several people about any rust on the cowl and cab corners. doors. etc. All the corners. door bottoms etc hold a magnet. and I have included some photos of these areas in the listing. This was not a rusty truck prior to restoration. and it was not stored outside. The owner added an additional brake light when the 12 volt conversion was performed. He liked the idea of having symmetry as well as safety.
