| You are viewing our most recent barn-find from Car Crazy and The Blacktop Depot! This rust-free Standard Coupe has perfect drip-rails. tool box tray (some factory insulation remains) and floor pan. The car is registered to the black and yellow California plates. The doors fit perfectly and has a very nice fitting deck-lid and hood assembly. The fenders are near perfect. This was built when cars were plentiful and you picked nice cars for your project. The bright-work is original with no reproduction parts. This is an "Opera Coupe" but the seats have been replaced with a small. homemade bench seat. The windows operate smoothly and without snags. The paint is an 60's cheapy. The vinyl is old style diamond tuck throughout. The engine is 327. possibly 68. The engine has solid lifters and the previous owner believe it to be rare. The engine is stamped FI203F. The transmission is a power-glide and the rear-end is a 57 GM suspended on the original Ford buggy-spring assembly. The front-end assembly is stock 40 Ford. This car starts and runs great. I would drive it anywhere with proper maintenance. Good non-running core 40 coupes are presently bringing my "Buy-it-Now" price and this car is a great driver.
