Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *3++ (Excellent Loaded Thunderbird Convertible) Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible that is an absolute stunner and loaded with factory options. This is one of the best looking Tbirds out there period. This car is on consignment with us from one of our very good local customers. He purchased it from a very large private collection of over 100 cars and this baby is ready to roll and doesn't need a thing and is fitted with the best of everything. This car was probably restored about 5-10 years ago and they started with a very solid and rust-free car as it is straight as an arrow and the fit and finish excellent throughout. It is finished in its factory color of Rangoon Red with a Pearl White interior and a white power convertible top. Under the hood is the factory 390ci 4bbl V8 fully dressed out and chromed. The car literally has every accessory and option that you could possibly put on one including the factory sports roadster tonneau cover, continental kit, luggage rack, dual spotlights, Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, factory air conditioning, power seat, fender skirts, side moldings you name it. If you want looks this is the car for you to own. You rarely ever see a red Thunderbird like this and it gets looks everywhere it goes. It is a real stunner of a cruiser and is turn-key ready to roll. Options/Equipment: 390ci 4bbl V8 Engine Exterior: *Condition #3++ The exterior of this Thunderbird is absolutely beautiful and has looks that just do not quit. Again we said we think this cars was restored about 5-10 years ago but still looks amazing as it spent most of its life in a couple private collections and has been very well taken care of. This car is a completely 100% rust-free and super solid Thunderbird that is straight as an arrow. It has been finished in its factory color of Rangoon Red with a stunning paint job where everything was taken a part and done right. The paint has a brilliant smooth as glass hand rubbed finish and just looks spectacular. This was a great car to begin with as a lot of the chrome and trim has been redone but some of it is actually really nice original showing how well its been taken care of its whole life. The fit and finish is excellent on all the body panels, all of the glass is in excellent condition, all the accessories fit perfectly and are in excellent condition and the white vinyl top looks brand new. It is sitting on a set of factory Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels that looks absolutely mint wrapped in wide white wall radial tires. It is just a real real looker and again it is turn-key ready and is sure to turn a lot of heads while you drive it to shows and enjoy it. Interior: *Condition #3+ The interior of this Thunderbird is beautiful and has all been redone in white. The dash is excellent and the brightwork is very clean and nice and original. It does have the tilt-away steering and the steering wheel itself does have a little crack in it which is about the worst part of the whole interior but is overall in great condition. Everything appears to work including the gauges, the air conditioning, heater/defroster, AM/FM cassette radio, power windows, wipers, courtesy lights, spotlights, power top, power seat, horn etc. All of the top mechanisms look newer, like it was all redone, and works great. The top does go with the tonneau cover on it so you do not have to remove it if you don't want but you can and then the back seats looks very nice like they have never even been sat in. Inside of the trunk has all been restored and is factory correct with spare and jack. Overall the interior is gorgeous on this red convertible and you don't have to do a thing as it is ready to enjoy as she sits. Mechanically: *Condition #2 Mechanically this Thunderbird is in amazing condition. It has its 390ci 4bbl V8 and automatic transmission that both run like a top. The engine really runs out amazing and the transmission shifts perfectly smooth as it should. Under the hood has been beautifully detailed and looks phenomenal like a true showpiece. It has its correct decals, engraved vin, washer bag and new hood pad. It has a chrome dress-up kit that looks absolutely stunning and the whole engine compartment super clean. It looks as if the motor might have been taken out at some point because it looks so clean and amazing but we do not have any paperwork on that. It drives very strong, sounds amazing and drives straight down the road with its radial tires. It brakes excellent, steers and turns excellent and tight, and needs absolutely nothing. Overall it is just as excellent mechanically as it is cosmetically and is a truly unbelievable car. This car is ready to be driven and enjoyed right now. Under Carriage: *Condition #3+ The underside of this car is absolutely beautiful as well. It is extremely clean and completely 100% rust-free. The floor pans look beautiful and even the rear end looks the same way. The dual exhaust looks nice and sounds fantastic. All the suspension components are clean and tight, the floor panels and frame are solid as a rock and overall it is amazing just like the rest of the car.
