Description of 1978 Ford F-250

For sale is a 1978 F250 Ranger XLT Supercab Trailer Special. The truck has dual fuel tanks and the dealer installed ac system (controls next to glove box. compressor is not attached but is included. it was taken off when the heads were done). it also has the harder to find flip out side windows. The engine is a 400. It has had the heads redone and carb rebuilt in the last 600 miles now (miles will rise as it's my daily driver). The heads have brand new valves. hardened seats. springs. and guides. The carb is the factory motorcraft 2150 that was rebuilt at the same time as the heads. Everything internal in the carb was replaced with new parts. The truck has new spark plugs. wires. cap/rotor. air filter. fuel filters. and if it sells I will do a fresh oil change with motorcraft filter for the buyer as well as wash it. Transmission is a C6. it shifts smooth and as it should. It has an np205 transfer case attached to it. 4x4 works great. I've been having to use it a lot with spring coming around to get in and out of the jobsites at my work. Axles are dana 44 in the front and 60 in the rear with 4. 10 gears. I think the rear has a traction lock differential (Ford term for posi). The truck came from Washington state where it spent the last 20+ years before I bought it last year. I'm only selling it for personal reasons. The only rust is on the drivers side cab corner and some surface rust bubbling the paint around the end of the drip rails. The local body shop I use said the drip rails just needed to be sand blasted and repainted and that it was easily fixable. I just didn't get it done before winter. Since the truck is a trailer special it is wired for a trailer. the brake controller is included and there is an additional plug (besides the one on the bumper) under the box towards the rear of the cab that's either for a camper or trailer.
