An exterior refresh was carried out in 2011, which reportedly included a single-stage repaint in red along with replacement of the woodgrain panels and refinishing of its fiberglass trim by Woodgrain4Wagons of Lakewood, California. Prior to the repaint, the seller replaced the left front fender and fiberglass trim due to substandard repairs by the previous owner. A scrape is noted on the rear bumper, and the seller states that the electric rear window requires manual assistance to fully close.
Polished 16 Centerline wheels wear 215/55 Goodyear Eagle GP-H tires in the front and 225/50 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP2 tires out back. A LEED Brakes front power disc brake conversion kit has been added, along with an 8 dual diaphragm booster and a cast iron master cylinder with an adjustable combo block. A set of stock 15 wheels and hubcaps is also included in the sale.
The interior was reupholstered in red vinyl that was reportedly sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics, including the door panels. A replacement carpet kit and new floor mats were installed. Lap belts are equipped for all passengers.
This example features a Magic Doorgate, which was introduced for the 1966 model year and allowed the rear door to either fold down or swing open on side hinges. Inward-facing third row seats fold flat to allow for additional cargo space.
Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and an analog clock, the latter of which the seller notes is not functional. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 83k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller over the last decade.
The 390ci/300hp V8 was reportedly rebuilt approximately 1,300 miles ago by the seller in 2018, and the work included installation of an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold and a Cool Craft radiator. The C6 Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission was also serviced at this time with a new filter, gaskets, and fluid.
