Up for immediate sale & your consideration is one beautiful (2 owner) 1968 Ford Mustang!

This particular vehicle is the product of a loyal Ford family.

It was purchased from Bruce Walters Ford (Pikesville, Kentucky) in the spring of 1968.

Once possession of it was taken the car was put to use as a daily driver.

This ebb and flow would continue for approximately eleven years.

However as the age of retirement began to dawn a Ford Festiva became the workhorse.

Subsequently the Mustang was sidelined and garaged for many years.

It would enjoy this life of leisure until his son became enthused.

After being put out to pasture for (approximately ten years “1989”) it found life in a new garage.

With a busy life of his own and a full family life he couldn’t find time to institute his dream restoration until 2014.

However, when the time came several family members demanded to be part of the project. Even if it was only to have the most minutiae detail done towards the end.

There were so many great memories that the new hobby became a labor of love!

I was fortunate to meet two of the individuals involved and was given a play by play of the entire process.

To start the car is clearly an accident free vehicle!

Since it lived such a sheltered life all of the body lines are very straight & uniform.

Each panel is respectable and the gaps seem pretty consistent with factory tooling specifications.

The body was stripped of its original lacquer paint before being covered in enamel.

I have been called picky and meticulous in regards to my grading scale. That being said I no problem labeling the exterior as nice!

The fit and finish is very impressive so it’s easy admire the vehicles overall appearance.

You’ll have no problem holding your head high at the local car cruise!

Many attributes make it a fan favorite.

The Raven Black surface maintains a high gloss shine and a mirror like reflection!

Chrome rocker moldings really bring the obsidian flavored exterior to life “provides perfect contrast”!

Dearborn christened this model with a factory integrated turn signal hood and elegant chrome mirrors.

The front & rear bumpers have been replaced with new Ford sanctioned components.

A perfect new gas cap has been added along with new N.O.S back up lights & tail light moldings.

Authentic stainless accents are sprinkled throughout that reminds you of yesteryear!

A professional grade of mild tinted film covers the glass.

The total picture is simply breath taking and compliments can be expected at every corner!

She is really buttoned up nicely “commendable quality investment”!

“TAKE A FINAL PEEK

Upon opening the door of this beautiful vintage Mustang you will find a near perfect stark black interior.

Although it comes across subtle in nature the pedestrian surroundings fit the vehicle perfectly!

New ebony seat upholstery has been installed TMI covers (sweet addition)!

A beautiful rear bench awaits the little ones eager to go on an ice cream cruise.

The cockpit is very presentable thanks in part to litany of refurbished pieces & wrinkle free dash pad.

An exemplary set standard door panels have been incorporated with fresh ACP window crank handles. Courtesy lights still illuminate when either door is open!

Updated loop pile carpet has also been sealed to the chassis.

All things considered the interior is a perfect match for this model.

NO MUSTANG CAN BE TRULY CONSIDERED A FREE RUNNING STALLION WITHOUT HAVING A FACTORY V/8!

Thankfully Ford didn’t buck the trend when this one was assembled.

The factory C-Code 289 can still be found underneath the hood.

This car was only showing a little over 67k miles when it came to rest in 1979!

Before being put back on the road many of the factory internals were refreshed.

The makeover involved installing some superior / modern hardware that keeps it operating at an optimal range.

She certainly has more pep than it did before leaving the assembly line.

FUN TO DRIVE!!!

An Edelbrock Performer & carburetor intake sits on top of the cast iron block.

Manley pistons and F8AZ rockers help create respectable torque and honorable horse power!

Dependability is guaranteed thanks in part to new plugs, 8mm wires & voltage regulator.

The belts have been replaced along with both radiator hoses. An upgraded coil takes the place of the original one.

To top things off the water pump, fuel pump & thermostat was also replaced (No Leaks)!!!

Many other new parts were installed to keep it reliable (vacuum advance, cap, rotor, battery, etc.

A set of factory valve covers & air cleaner further enhance the engine bay.

Hardened valves seats have been installed so the vehicle can burn modern unleaded fuel efficiently “an important aspect that many fail to do”!

Modern unleaded gas induced fuels can cause major damage when operating over 3,500 rpm’s!

No worries here all the hard work has been done for you.

First- rate braking is also a cinch due to a litany of new brake parts (wheel cylinders, hoses, wheel seals, and bearings)!

No short cuts were taken.

This one has also recently received a clean bill of health from Firestone and a local restoration shop.

An infectious growl trumpets out back by the aid of dual exhaust!

This car is simply a blast to drive & it sounds incredible when the throttle is engaged!

LET’S LISTEN!!!

Tucked underneath each corner is a nostalgic magnum 500 wheel!

These rims are encased with a compilation of rarely seen antique beauty rings!

All are in excellent condition without curb rash.

Classic Cooper Cobra raised white letter performance tires hug the metal!

The total set up gives it a bull dog aggressive stance!

CONSTANT COMPLIMENTS!!!

All of the guys driving modern muscle car guys on the road “can’t stop giving the ole thumbs up”!

Amid all of the chaos in today’s world it’s nice to escape “once you’re behind the wheel”!

All of the small details make this vehicle special!

Again it is ready to be enjoyed fully!

The time, resources and labor hours spent to bring her back to life can’t be properly measured “rare opportunity”!

This is truly a unique, pampered family car different than most offered out there today!

There is yet more great news!

She’s also solid underneath”!

SUPERIOR FLOORS, FRAME, ETC!!!

At the end of the day I can say that this vintage vehicle would be a nice addition to your collection or great for a first time classic!

The trunk is nice as well!

A nice car cover and owner’s manual are also included. Much more can be said …. again it’s up for grabs elsewhere RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!
