Description of 1966 Ford Bronco

Freshly Restored Historic First-Hour Bronco SUV 170ci 3-Speed Manual ///
In addition to being the seventh oldest Bronco in existence, the oldest restored Bronco in existence and probably the most correct early Bronco in existence, this Ford is also the earliest known U152 Heavy Duty Bronco in existence. When the truck's current owner, an avid Bronco historian, found it on Craigslist, it had been sitting for close to 30 years. Over the course of five years, he conducted a frame-off, concours restoration that dressed correct Caribbean Turquoise in correct, optional rocker panel stripes. The completely rebuilt and carefully detailed Thriftpower Six you see in this roadster's super clean engine bay is both correct and original. Power meets the pavement through an original 3-speed. That drivetrain powers an optional 9-inch axle that's correctly rebuilt with an optional limited-slip differential and optional 4.11 gears. That drivetrain rolls in a correct Heavy Duty suspension, which combines correct, optional skid plates with original Heavy Duty leafs that have been professionally re-arched. Stops are provided by a quartet of manual drums which, you guessed it, includes correct Heavy Duty units out back. And everything rolls on early-build Kelsey Hayes steelies which, a correct part of the Heavy Duty package, twist 7.00-15 Power King Extra Traction tires around correct, optional wheel discs. Between the doors, correct seats wear delightful, 1966-exclusive Silver upholstery. A simple dash stretches a correct, optional pad over 1966-exclusive Poly Gray paint. And a retro steering wheel spins a correct, optional horn ring around a correct, optional hand throttle. Literally one of the first utes that kicked off Ford's hallowed Bronco sub-brand, first-hour Ford currently rolls as an uncut, highly correct testament to why American trucks continue to make big gains in popularity and price.
