1989 Ford Mustang LX SSP Coupe Texas State car

Selling my 1989 Ford Mustang LX SSP Coupe 5.0 liter 5 speed. This coupe was ordered by the state of Texas and used by the state until it was sold to the public. I was told by a retired Texas Trooper that it was either a DEA car or a training vehicle for the Troopers due to the solid white color. That was his opinion and I have no way to validate.

The Mustang has the buck tags attached to the radiator support,high performance hoses, one key that opens all locks, 160 mph certified speedometer, truck release button below the steering column and roll bar. It still has the lights in the back window and I also have the A pillar spot light, Motorola CB radio and antennas. The coupe was recently painted the original color and all of the trim was either painted or replaced. I have also replaced both quarter windows. The holes in the rear quarters for the antennas were plugged so they could be reinstalled. I have also replaced all weatherstripping on the car.

The body, shock towers, floor boards and trunk pan are in great shape with no rust issues. The underside was coated during the repaint. I have pictures of the floors when I replaced the carpet that I can provide.

Also, the entire AC system has been gone through including replacing the heater core. Anything that needed changed has been replaced.

The interior is original and in very good shape. I have replaced the carpet and floor mats in the correct Regatta blue. The ashtray lid works as it should as well as the map light. The seats are clean with no tears or holes. The drivers seat does have wear on the back side where the seat touches the roll bar but not excessive. This is a manual window car with deleted stereo.

The vin tags are in place and visible in all factory locations. The tags on the bottom of the doors and the front bumper cover have been painted over during the repaint. You can see outline of the tags but the numbers are not visible.
