Description of 1991 Geo Other

First. let me say that I love this car! In my earlier life I had owned two VW convertibles for over 20 years - a 59 Bug Conv and 59 Karmann Ghia Conv. Both were sold long ago for big money (for VW's) to help finance my kids college tuition's. These were dependable. basic cars. Simple to work on. grabbed a lot of attention when driven. and they were a real blast to drive ! This Geo Metro Convertible is just that kind of car - only with much more pep. 5 gears to play with and great gas mileage- up to 40 MPG ! This is a life-long Southern California. Rust-Free car. It shows a rare pride of ownership in the way it has been cared-for and maintained these past 23 years. It looks and runs great with complete service record receipts going back to 1996. The car has a current California Smog Certificate good for another 60 days for registration purposes. 2 owners over 23 years (brothers-in-law). Original owner was an Airline Pilot and owned it from 1991-1996. He then sold it to his brother-in-law (owner #2). an Aerospace Engineer (and my neighbor) who owned it from 1996 until a month ago when he purchased a new car with a back seat to handle his grandchildren. I purchased this beauty right out of his garage that day - and then ran into trouble at home for the purchase. . so I am reluctantly letting it go. Garaged its entire life. lightly driven. regularly serviced. You will have a hard time finding another original as nice as this! This little guy runs great and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. anytime. Timing Belt. 2 Drive Belts. Cam and Crank seals replaced at 92. 79 miles (5. 00 miles ago). Radiator was last drained and filled at 64. 00 miles. Last transmission oil change at 76. 81 miles. Hard copy history of regular oil changes at every 3. 00 miles (approx) since 1996 (#2 owner). The original paint still looks bright and almost new! The upholstery looks the same. The vinyl top was replaced some years back but because of being garaged every night. looks great. From what I can find. everything works - radio. air conditioning(cold). lights. etc. One of the windshield washers (passenger side) quirts a little weaker than the other and to be honest. I never looked at it to see if it an easy fix or not. There is one body dent (see pic) that happened while owner #2 was pulling out of his garage and bumped his radial arm saw. The only flaw in this little gem. Various small parking lot paint dings on the bumper. I've taken lots of pictures for your careful review. I am not a car flipper or a dealer. I have given you a true and honest description. warts and all. to the best of my ability. The car is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Please contact me @ 310-920-3118 with any questions. I am not a car flipper or a used car dealer. just a private party. I have given you a true and honest description to the best of my ability of a car I'd love to keep. This car a rare. special interest convertible that you just don't see anymore. They will get harder to find and virtually impossible in this type of original condition. I believe it worth every penny of the Buy-It-Now price. and that it will appreciate in value and collectibility in future years. Thanks for Looking!
