Description of 1991 Geo Metro

Version:1. 0 StartHTML:0000000176 EndHTML:0000009357 StartFragment:0000003039 EndFragment:0000009321 SourceURL:file://localhost/Users/mikearvin/Documents/Custom%20Cruiser Up for your consideration is a very unique 1991 Geo Metro LSi Convertible. This is the special 'Trans Am' racing edition. the only one ever made. When it runs. this vehicle is powered by 61 Cubic Inches of raw fury. However. it is currently not hitting on all three. THE GOOD. THE BAD & THE UGLY: I have owned this car for almost 14 years. it's been a fun little car that has been incredibly reliable and gets very good gas mileage. I've seen people claim very high mpg numbers for Geo Metros but the best I've ever seen is 46 mpg. most tanks are either upper 30's or low 40's. Last summer. my wife was out racing some small block Chevys (she denies this) and called me from Walmart to come get her because something was wrong with the Geo. I limped it home. backfiring most of the way. The car has sat in the garage ever since. I really have no clue what is wrong with the engine - could be an easy fix. could be totally shot. Currently the battery is dead and the Geo is very sad. The car has a lot of rust along the rocker panels. the top is in bad shape and the interior smells a little funky. The Car leaks very badly in the rain. WHAT HAPPENED? A few years ago the hood latch broke and we took the economical and stylish approach of repairing this with race car pins. Next thing you know we added the famed 'screaming chicken' to the hood. Then. depending on your perspective. things either got really awesome or totally ridiculous. Either way. the car is a great conversation piece and attracts a lot of thumbs up. and a few obscene gestures. There is no warranty or guarantees made with this car - it is 24 years old and most people consider it to be a rolling turd. Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions about something I have not addressed. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. as my children are upset that I'm selling the 'Trans Am'. The reserve is set at $400. If you are near the Louisville. Kentucky area feel free to contact me and make arrangements to view this car in person. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements and charges. Full payment is required via PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction. car will not be released until full payment has been received. Thanks for your consideration and happy bidding!
